La experiencia del buen vivir como proyecto estatal de transformación social en Ecuador y Bolivia ha develado la falacia de pretender dar respuestas autonomistas a una crisis que evidencia, como ninguna antes, las interdependencias globales. El artículo presenta un análisis de los potenciales y los límites de una articulación discursiva que ponga el foco en estas interdependencias, con base en el buen vivir, el decrecimiento (o descrecimiento) y el desarrollo humano como discursos emblemáticos de transición en el Sur y en el Norte global, y del mainstream político liberal, respectivamente. El argumento se estructura a partir de las principales contribuciones y limitantes estructurales de cada uno de estos discursos, para promover una transición civilizatoria hacia una trayectoria de (pos)desarrollo global socioecológicamente sustentable. A pesar del fracaso del buen vivir como programa político para una "Gran Transición", el análisis destaca su potencial de transformación cultural, implícito en el ideario y la práctica de mundos ecoconvivales alternativos a escala macrosocial. Los puntos ciegos del discurso del buen vivir -es decir, las interdependencias geoeconómicas derivadas de una matriz de producción y consumo no generalizable, que sin embargo tiende a globalizarse- constituyen la preocupación principal de los discursos del decrecimiento. Estos últimos, sin embargo, carecen de tracción política y cultural para implementar los cambios previstos. Así, el círculo sinérgico se cierra en el análisis del potencial de fecundación que tienen el buen vivir y el decrecimiento sobre el ideario político-cultural del desarrollo humano, como es articulado por el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD), basado en Amartya Sen y Martha Nussbaum, para transformar el discurso político como precondición para una transformación fundamental de la práctica política. Con este análisis de potenciales sinergias discursivas interculturales, el artículo pretende, a su vez, ofrecer nuevas perspectivas a una sociología comprometida con la crítica y la transición socioecológica a la sustentabilidad en tiempos de crisis ambiental global. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract On the basis of the thesis of civilizational crisis, the article aims to show the need for complementarity or cross-fertilization among "transition discourses" from the global South and North and the ideational matrix of development, in order to make viable a socio-ecological transition toward sustainability. The experience of buen vivir as a State project of social transformation in Ecuador and Bolivia has evinced the fallacy of providing soloist responses to a crisis that confirms, more than ever, the fact of global interdependencies. The article provides an analysis of the potentials and limits of a discursive articulation that focuses on these interdependencies, on the basis of buen vivir, de growth, and human development, as emblematic discourses of transition in the global South and North, and of the political liberal mainstream, respectively. The argument is built on the basis of the main contributions and structural limitations of each one of those discourses fostering a civilizational transition toward a path of global, socio-ecologically sustainable (post)development. Despite the failure of buen vivir as a political program for a "Great Transition", the analysis highlights the potential for cultural transformation, implicit in the tenets and practice of alternative eco-convivial worlds at a macro-social scale. The blind spots of the discourse of buen vivir -that is, the geo-economic interdependencies deriving from a globalized matrix of production and consumption that cannot be generalized- constitute the main concern of de growth discourses. The latter however, lack the political and cultural pull to implement the changes envisaged. Thus, the synergic circle closes with the analysis of the fertilization potential of buen vivir and de growth on the political-cultural idea of human development, as formulated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), drawing on Amartya Sen and Martha Nussbaum, to shift political discourse as the precondition for a fundamental transformation of political practice. With this analysis of potential intercultural discursive synergies, the article aims at providing new perspectives for a sociology committed to critique and to a socio-ecological transition toward sustainability in these times of global environmental crisis. A experiência do bem viver como projeto estatal de transformação social no Equador e na Bolívia tem revelado a falácia de dar respostas localistas a uma crise que evidencia, como nenhuma outra, as interdependências globais. Este artigo apresenta uma análise dos potenciais e dos limites de uma articulação discursiva que coloca o foco nessas interdependências com base no bem viver, no decrescimento e no desenvolvimento humano, como discursos emblemáticos de transição no Sul e no Norte global, e do mainstream político-liberal, respectivamente. O argumento está fundamentado nas principais contribuições e nos limites estruturais de cada um desses discursos para promover uma transição civilizatória na direção de uma trajetória de (pós) desenvolvimento global socioecologicamente sustentável. Apesar do fracasso do bem viver como programa político para uma "Grande Transição", a análise destaca seu potencial de transformação cultural, implícito no ideário e na prática de mundos "ecoconvivais" alternativos em escala macrossocial. Os pontos cegos do discurso do bem viver, isto é, as interdependências geoeconômicas derivadas de uma matriz de produção e consumo globalizada, que não é generalizável, constituem a preocupação principal dos discursos de decrescimento.
