Resumen

    <p>
El objetivo principal de este estudio consiste en estimar distintas formas (convencionales y flexibles) funcionales de producci&oacute;n cafetera en Colombia, mediante frontera estoc&aacute;stica. Con los resultados, calcular y analizar las econom&iacute;as a escala por unidad cafetera (productores peque&ntilde;os, medianos, grandes y sector general cafetero), as&iacute; como obtener y evaluar la eficiencia t&eacute;cnica de los caficultores asentados en Caldas, Quind&iacute;o y Risaralda.

This article is an empirical study about flexible and conventional functional forms of coffee production, minflex Laurent Translog function econometrically has been established in Colombia coffee zone for the farm size (smallholders, medium and large farms, general sector), using a stochastic frontier model through standard maximum likelihood method. Likewise, their returns to scale and technical efficiency were derived.
