Se identificaron 17 individuos homocigotos AA, 15 heterocigotos AB y 4 homocigotos BB. La identificación de machos jóvenes portadores del genotipo de interés en menos de ocho horas mediante SSCP representa una ventaja para los propietarios de hatos abriendo la posibilidad de aumentar la frecuencia del alelo B, una de las vías para mejorar la eficiencia lechera para la manufactura de queso.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[SUMMARY DNA from 2 males and 34 females of Hartón del Valle bovine breed, to detect polymorphisms by PCR-RFLP (polymerase chain reaction - restriction fragments length polymorphism) and PCR-SSCP (polymerase chain reaction- single strand conformation polymorphism) in kappa-casein gene was used 17 homozygote AA, 15 heterozygote AB and 4 homozygote BB individuals were identified. The quick and easy identification of young male genotypic carriers in less than eight hours is an advantage to milk farmers, given to there the possibility to increase the B allelic frequency, one of the ways to improve the milk efficiency for cheese producction.]]></p></abstract>
