El propósito en esta ocasión es presentar las características de la descripción física en LSC, tal como aparece en textos producidos por informantes sordos basándose en textos en español escrito. Se encuentra que, en la descripción física, más que en funciones anteriormente estudiadas, los textos en señas permiten describir las entidades de forma muy clara, acercándose a lo que los textos hablados y escritos consiguen principalmente a través de la multimedia. Se pueden identificar también en ellos las diversas nociones semántico-gramaticales presentes en textos similares en español. Los señantes recurren constantemente a préstamos del español a través de la ortografía manual, a veces para llenar una laguna léxica, otras para ayudar a los niños a reconocer conceptos en la lengua escrita.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article continues the exploration of the functions of academic language in Colombian Sign Language (LSC), carried out by the same authors. The purpose this time is to present the characteristics of physical description in LSC, as they appear in texts produced by Deaf informants based on texts in written Spanish. It is found that, in physical description, more than in previously studied functions, the signed texts allow the description of entities in a very clear way, approaching what the spoken and written texts achieve mainly through multimedia. It is also possible to identify in them the various semantic-grammatical notions present in similar texts in Spanish. Signers constantly resort to borrowings from Spanish through manual spelling, sometimes to fill a lexical gap, others to help children recognize concepts in the written language.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé Cet article poursuit l'exploration des fonctions du langage académique en langue des signes colombienne (LSC), réalisée par les mêmes auteurs. Cette fois, l'objectif est de présenter les caractéristiques de la description physique en LSC, telles qu'elles apparaissent dans les textes produits par des informateurs sourds à partir de textes en espagnol écrit. On constate que, dans la description physique, plus que dans les fonctions étudiées précédemment, les textes signés permettent de décrire les entités de manière très claire, s'approchant de ce que les textes parlés et écrits réalisent principalement par le biais du multimédia. Il est également possible d'y identifier les différentes notions sémantico-grammaticales présentes dans des textes similaires en espagnol. Les signeurs ont constamment recours à des emprunts à l'espagnol à travers l'alphabet manuel, parfois pour combler un vide lexical, d'autres pour aider les enfants à reconnaître des concepts dans la langue écrite.]]></p></abstract>
