Este manuscrito muestra cuán central es este tema en términos no sólo de la importancia que le ha dado la Comisión de Derecho Internacional sino también en términos de cómo los Estados y las entidades alrededor del mundo enfrentan fenómenos preocupantes tales como el calentamiento global. Con base en las opiniones de jueces y exjueces de la Corte Internacional de Justicia y en los estudios de tratadistas reconocidos, este artículo presenta diferentes caminos para lidiar con este asunto urgente desde la perspectiva de un país como Colombia. El escrito cubre el área de derecho internacional económico y es el resultado de una investigación que se viene adelantando sobre el papel de la ética y la moral en el derecho internacional público contemporáneo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The relationship between the environment and the jus cogens rules ofpublic international law is still being debated in the academia and by practitioners all around the world. This manuscript shows how central this issue is in terms not only of the focus the International Law Commission has placed on it, but also in terms of how Governments and entities around the globe are tackling the manner in which institutions and people deal with phenomena such as global warming. From the insights of some former judges of the International Court of Justice to the views of renowned practitioners, the article lays out different paths to address this urgent issue from the perspective of a country like Colombia. The paper covers a field of international economic law and is the result of an ongoing research related to the role of ethics and morals in contemporary public international law.]]></p></abstract>

Ce manuscrit montre à quel point ce sujet est central en termes non seulement de l'importance accordée par la Commission du droit international, mais aussi en termes de la façon dont les États et entités du monde entier font face à des phénomènes inquiétants tels que le réchauffement climatique. Sur la base des opinions des juges et des anciens juges de la Cour internationale de Justice et des études d'auteurs reconnus, cet article présente différentes manières de traiter cette question urgente du point de vue d'un pays comme la Colombie. Com base nas opiniões dos juízes e ex-juízes da Corte Internacional de Justiça e nos estudos de escritores reconhecidos, este artigo mostra diferentes maneiras de lidar com esta questão urgente da perspectiva de um país como a Colômbia.
