Materiales y métodos: En este propósito se analiza qué es el estrés laboral y se fundamenta la importancia de realizar evaluaciones e investigaciones en las organizaciones, para lo cual se analizan las perspectivas de estudio y abordaje del estrés laboral (estrés como estímulo, respuesta, transacción e interacción), y los enfoques que permiten medirlo (personalizados, compuestos y globales). La metodología utilizada en este trabajo consistió en una revisión de la literatura científica por la cual se identificaron los instrumentos de medición publicados durante el 2006 y el 2016. Se consultaron bases de datos bibliográficas. La muestra obtenida fue de 32 artículos que reportaban el desarrollo y las propiedades psicométricas de instrumentos para medir el estrés laboral.  Resultados: En los resultados obtenidos se identificaron 13 escalas de medición del estrés como estímulo, nueve para medir el estrés como respuesta, seis que permiten medir el estrés como transacción y cuatro el estrés como interacción. Las escalas identificadas se diseñaron con enfoques personalizados o compuestos.  Conclusión: Se concluye que, a fin de medir, diagnosticar y evaluar el estrés laboral, el profesional de la salud ocupacional debe contar con bases teóricas y metodológicas de las perspectivas y los abordajes del estrés laboral y los enfoques para medirlo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Objective: The objective of the present work is to develop a literature review to analyze the instruments of job stress measurement for diagnosis, evaluation and research.  Materials and methods: For this purpose, this paper analyzes what is work stress and analyzes the perspectives of study and approach to job stress (stress as stimulus, response, transaction and interaction) and approaches to measure it (personalized, compound and global). The methodology used in this work consisted of a review of the scientific literature identifying instruments to measure job stress published during 2006 and 2016. Databases were consulted. The sample obtained was of 32 articles that reported the development and the psychometric properties of instruments to measure the job stress.  Results: In the results obtained 13 scales were identified to measure stress as a stimulus, nine to measure stress as a response, six to measure stress as a transaction and four to measure stress as interaction. The scales identified were designed with a personalized or composite approach.  Conclusions: This paper concludes that in order to measure, diagnose and evaluate job stress the occupational health professional must have theoretical and methodological bases of the perspectives and approaches of job stress and the approaches to measure it.]]></p></abstract>
