Con datos de la Encuesta de Consumo Cultural del 2014, se estiman los modelos de selección de Heckman para variable dependiente ordenada que permiten remover el sesgo de selección muestral que aparece cuando se modelan estas dos variables de manera independiente. Los resultados indican que la acumulación de capital cultural y las restricciones de tiempo son los principales determinantes del consumo de esta actividad en Colombia. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In this paper we analyze the determinants of attendance and frequency of attendance to performing arts in Colombia. Using data from the Cultural Consumption Survey in 2014 we estimate Heckman selection models for ordered dependent variable which remove the selection bias that arise when we model the two dependent variables independently. Results indicate that the accumulation of cultural capital and time constraints are the main determinants of the consumption of this activity in Colombia.
