<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[SUMMARY Despite recent advances in understanding brain circuits involved in dystonia, surgical techniques both invasive and not invasive have fail to provide substantial benefit to patients suffering from dystonia compared to the results seeing in Parkinson's disease, nonetheless, lesionectomy, deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound can provide relief in medical refractory cases.]]></p></abstract>
