Sin embargo, todavía hay muy pocas iniciativas en América Latina. Este trabajo indaga el caso chileno, en particular el proyecto "Stgo+ Infraestructura Verde", para comprender cómo la emergencia climática se ha incluido en la planificación de infraestructura verde y el nivel de prioridad que tiene entre varios tipos de actores. La investigación fue conducida a través de una revisión de documentos de planificación y una metodología participativa que involucró actores institucionales de la academia y de la sociedad civil. La normativa urbana chilena e instrumentos de planificación territorial no ofrecen mucha oportunidad para el desarrollo de sistemas de infraestructura verde para enfrentar la emergencia climática, pero hay varios instrumentos indicativos que aportan en ese sentido. Por otro lado, hay un creciente reconocimiento por parte de los actores de la importancia de la infraestructura verde, pero la emergencia climática es un aspecto al cual aún se le atribuye escasa prioridad. La poca valoración que los actores atribuyen a la emergencia climática representa una barrera significativa para que planes y políticas públicas incorporen estos temas. Ideas destacadas: artículo de investigación que se cuestiona sobre el escaso uso de la infraestructura verde para enfrentar la emergencia climática. El proyecto Stgo+ muestra que, en el contexto chileno, hay un escaso reconocimiento de estos temas por la normativa, así como por los actores públicos y la sociedad civil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Green infrastructure is being recognized as one of the main strategies for climate emergency mitigation and adaptation in urban contexts. However, there are still very few initiatives in Latin America. This paper explores the Chilean case, in particular the "Stgo+ Green Infrastructure" project, to understand how the climate emergency has been included in green infrastructure planning and the level of priority it has among various types of stakeholders. The research was conducted through a review of planning documents and a participatory methodology, involving institutional, academic, and civil society stakeholders. Chilean urban regulations and territorial planning instruments do not offer much opportunity for the development of green infrastructure systems to face the climate emergency, but there are several indicative instruments that contribute in that sense. On the other hand, there is growing recognition by stakeholders of the importance of green infrastructure, but the climate emergency is an aspect that is still given low priority. The low priority that actors attribute to the climate emergency represents a significant barrier for the incorporation of these issues in public plans and policies. Highlights: research article questioning the scarce use of green infrastructure to address the climate emergency. A pesquisa foi conduzida através de uma revisão dos documentos de planejamento e de uma metodologia participativa, que envolveu atores institucionais, da academia e da sociedade civil. A regulamentação urbana chilena e os instrumentos de planejamento territorial não oferecem muitas oportunidades para o desenvolvimento de sistemas de infraestruturas verdes para enfrentar a emergência climática, mas existem vários instrumentos indicativos que contribuem nesse sentido. Por outro lado, há um reconhecimento crescente pelos atores acerca da importância das infraestruturas verdes, mas a emergência climática ainda é um aspecto a qual é dada pouca prioridade. A baixa prioridade que os atores atribuem à emergência climática representa uma barreira significativa à qual os planos e políticas públicas incorporam essas questões.
