Nesse caso, a agroecologia, enquanto movimento, ciência e prática, valoriza e respeita as condições edafoclimáticas dos ecossistemas. As práticas agroecológicas demandam métodos que auxiliem aos agricultores a avaliar a saúde de seus solos. A cromatografia de Pfeiffer constitui uma ferramenta de diagnóstico, cujo método é simples e de baixo custo. O presente artigo objetivou a compreensão do estado da saúde do solo em quatro usos da terra (um sistema agroflorestal, um plantio de banana com adubação verde, uma área em pousio e um fragmento florestal) em um sítio certificado biodinâmico, no estado de São Paulo, Brasil. Os resultados obtidos de modo qualitativo e quantitativos permitem afirmar que os solos da área do fragmento e do sistema agroflorestal foram os mais saudáveis. A cromatografia foi um método eficiente na análise da saúde dos solos tropicais, com potencialidade de uso por agricultores familiares.  Ideias destacadas: Artigo de pesquisa que aborda o estado da saúde do solo através da utilização de indicadores físico-químicos e um método simples e de baixo custo numa propriedade agrícola biodinâmica. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Soil degradation is a process resulting from the management adopted by the industrial agriculture, that configures an ecological and social crisis. In this context, agroecology as a movement, science, and practice, values diversification of food production respecting the edaphoclimatic conditions of the ecosystems. The agroecological practices demand methods that help farmers assess the health of their soils. Pfeiffer Chromatography is a simple and low-cost diagnostic tool. This article aimed to understand the soil health status in four land uses (agroforestry system, banana with green manure, fallow area, and forest fragment) in a certified biodynamic farm, located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The results obtained, in a qualitative and quantitative way, allow us to affirm that the soils of forest fragment area and agroforestry system were the healthiest. The chromatography was an efficient method for analyzing the health of tropical soils, with potential for use by family farmers.  Highlights: Research article that addresses the state of soil health using physical-chemical indicators and through a simple and low-cost method in biodynamic farm. The results show that the Pfeiffer Circular Chromatography has the potential to be used by family farmers.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La degradación del suelo es un proceso resultante del manejo adoptado por la agricultura industrial, que configura una crisis ecológica y social. En este caso, la agroecología como movimiento, ciencia y práctica valora la diversificación y respeta las condiciones edafoclimáticas de los ecosistemas. Las prácticas agroecológicas exigen métodos que ayuden a los agricultores a evaluar la salud de sus suelos. La cromatografía de Pfeiffer constituye una herramienta de diagnóstico, cuyo método es sencillo y de bajo costo. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo la comprensión del estado de la salud del suelo en cuatro usos de la tierra (sistema agroforestal, plantación de plátano con abono verde, área en barbecho y fragmento de bosque) en una granja biodinámica certificada, en el estado de São Paulo, Brasil. Los resultados obtenidos permiten afirmar que los suelos del bosque y del sistema agroforestal fueron los más saludables. Así, la cromatografía fue un método eficiente en el análisis de la salud de los suelos tropicales, con potencialidad de uso por los agricultores familiares.  Ideias destacadas: Artículo de investigación que aborda el estado de la salud del suelo por medio de la utilización de indicadores físico-químicos y, también, un método simple y de bajo costo en una finca biodinámica.
