A pesquisa bibliográfica compilou 42 artigos, publicados entre 2010 e 2020, que relacionam obras de Paulo Freire nas referências, dois que discutem diretamente o legado freiriano para o ensino do componente e um faz análise de como a obra do autor vem sendo estudada pela comunidade académica da Educação Física. A quantidade de autores envolvidos, qualificação e inserção dos mesmos indicam potencialidades da abrangência e influência do pensamento de Freire na Educação Física. Esses resultados convergem com outros trabalhos sobre a atualidade e importância do autor e aponta caminhos para estudos posteriores.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of this research article was to identify and analyze the presence of and contributions from Freire's construct regarding Physical Education in the two major periodicals in the field which publish pedagogical research. The bibliographical review compiled 42 articles, published between 2010 and 2020, which include the works of Paulo Freire in the refenences, two of them directly discuss the Freirean legacy to the teaching of the component and one of them analyzes how the author's work has been studied by the academic community of Physical Education. The number of authors involved and their qualifications and the position they occupy indicate the potential comprehensiveness and influence of Freire's thinking on Physical Education. Results converge with other studies conducted about the up-to-dateness and importance of the author and reveal ways for further studies.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El presente artículo de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar la presencia y aportes del constructo freiriano a la Educación Física en las dos principales revistas del área que publican investigación pedagógica. La investigación bibliográfica recopiló 42 artículos, publicados entre 2010 y 2020, que enumeran trabajos de Paulo Freire en las referencias, dos que discuten directamente el legado freiriano para la enseñanza del componente y uno analiza cómo la obra del autor ha sido estudiada por la comunidad académica de Educación Física. El número de autores involucrados y su calificación e inserción indican potencialidades del alcance e influencia del pensamiento de Freire en la Educación Física. Los resultados convergen con otros trabajos realizados sobre la actualidad e importancia del autor y señalan caminos para futuros estudios.]]></p></abstract>
