De manera específica, hace una caracterización del siglo y de sus rasgos distintivos (pluralidad, diversidad, inestabilidad y contingencia), transversales a los diversos campos (económico, polí tico, social, cultural, científico y tecnológico) inscritos en esta nueva temporalidad. De esta forma, se examinan el currículo y los cambios en la estructura de las profesiones, y en la identidad profesional, ahora dependiente de contextos de desempeño laboral móviles, dinámicos e inestables. Se concluye que se hace fundamental repensar las concepciones curriculares domi nantes basadas en el enfoque de las competencias para replantear la forma de ser de las profesiones y la identidad profesional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents an analysis of the curriculum in the 21st century. Specifically, it characterizes the century and its distinctive features (plurality, diversity, instability, and contingency), transversal to the various fields (economic, political, social, cultural, scientific, and technological) inscribed in this new temporality. The curriculum and changes in the structure of professions, and professional identity, now dependent on mobile, dynamic and unstable job performance contexts are examined. It concludes by outlining the need to rethink the dominant curricular conceptions based on the competencies approach to rethink the way of being of the professions and professional identity.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo apresenta uma análise do currículo no século xxi. Específicamente, faz uma caracterizado do século e os seus traeos distintivos (pluralidade, diversidade, instabilidade e contingencia), transversais aos vários campos (económico, político, social, cultural, científico e tecnológico) inscritos nesta nova temporalidade. Desta forma, examina-se o currículo e as mudanzas na estrutura das profissoes e na identidade profissional, agora dependente de contextos móveis, dinámicos e instáveis de desempenho no trabalho. Conclui-se delineando a necessidade de repensar as concep&#94;oes curriculares dominantes a partir da abordagem das competencias para reformular o modo de ser das profissoes e da identidade profissional.]]></p></abstract>
