Así pues, se plantea el carácter complejo del significado de transversalidad y su relevancia para redimensionar el currículo y producir formas alternativas de organización de los contenidos formativos. El análisis de la transversalidad se fundamenta en autores de los campos filosófico y sociológico, describe e interpreta algunos enfoques que se consideran relevantes para la introduc ción de los aspectos conceptuales metodológicos relacionados con la construcción de currículos transversales. Finalmente, se concluye que la transversalidad es el fundamento de una nueva cultura formativa y de una visión del aprendizaje alternativa orientada por un propósito social, y que su aplicación en el campo educativo puede conducir a producir nuevas modalidades de formación, flexibles, abiertas e incluyentes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper analyzes the principle of transversality and establishes the role it plays in the transformation of the curriculum. It rai ses the complex nature of the meaning of transversality and the importance it has to resize the curriculum from the construction of new forms of organization of the training content. The analysis of transversality is based on authors from the philosophical and sociological fields, describing and interpreting some approaches that are considered relevant for the introduction of the methodological conceptual aspects related to the construction of transversal curricula. It concludes that transversality means the foundation of a new training culture and a new vision of learning-oriented by a social purpose and that its application in the educational field can lead to the production of new, flexible, open, and inclusive training modalities.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo analisa o principio da transversalidade e estabelece o papel que desempenha na transformado do currículo. Assim, levanta-se o caráter complexo do significado da transversalidade e a importancia que tem de redimensionar o currículo e produzir novas formas alternativas de organizado dos conteúdos formativos. A análise da transversalidade baseia-se em autores do campo filosófico e sociológico, descreve e interpreta algumas abordagens consideradas relevantes para a introduao dos aspectos metodológicos conceptuais relacionados com a construao de currículos transversais. Finalmente, o artigo conclui que a transversalidade é o alicerce de uma nova cultura de formado e de uma visao de aprendizagem alternativa orientada para uma finalidade social, e que a sua aplicado no campo educacional pode levar a produdo de novas modalidades de formado, flexíveis, abertas e inclusivas.]]></p></abstract>
