En este artículo de investigación se presenta el estudio que se desarrolló con el objetivo de analizar comparativamente las actitudes hacia la estadística de estudiantes de educación media y universitaria, incluyendo comparaciones según el sexo. Por medio de un diseño transversal comparativo de grupos naturales, se evaluaron las actitudes Afectiva, Cognitiva, Valor y Dificultad en 128 estudiantes colombianos. Los resultados indican poco acercamiento afectivo por la asignatura, percepción baja de dificultad y de escaso valor práctico, sin que existan diferencias significativas entre los grupos analizados. Los datos sugieren que la estadística despierta poco interés en el estudiantado y que las actitudes desarrolladas desde el bachillerato pueden perdurar hasta su formación universitaria, por lo cual es necesario aplicar estrategias desde la educación temprana para el fomento de una cultura estadística.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The students' attitude towards statistics determines ways of thinking, feeling, and acting towards the contents of this subject, being thus the phenomenon usually approached in high school education. This research article has been developed with the purpose to comparatively analyze high-school and university students' attitudes towards statistics, including comparisons as per sex. Through a comparative transversal design of natural groups, the affective, cognitive, value and difficulty attitudes were evaluated in 128 Colombian students. The results show little affective approach for the subject, low perception of difficulty and scarce practical value, without there being meaningful differences within the groups evaluated. The data suggest that statistics raise little interest in students and that the attitudes developed from high school may endure until their university preparation, for which it is necessary to apply strategies from early education training for the promotion of a statistics culture.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo As atitudes dos estudantes em relação à estatística determinam modos de pensar, sentir e agir a respeito do conteúdo dessa disciplina, sendo um fenômeno geralmente abordado no ensino superior. Neste artigo de pesquisa apresenta-se o estudo que foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de analisar comparativamente as atitudes em relação às estatísticas de estudantes de ensino médio e e universitários, incluindo comparações segundo o sexo. Através de um desenho transversal comparativo de grupos naturais, foram avaliadas atitudes afetivas, cognitivas, de valor e dificuldade em 128 estudantes colombianos. Os resultados indicam pouca aproximação afetiva pela disciplina, baixa percepção de dificuldade e pouco valor prático, sem diferenças significativas entre os grupos analisados. Os dados sugerem que a estatística desperta pouco interesse pelos alunos e que as atitudes desenvolvidas desde o ensino médio podem durar até a educação universitária, portanto, é necessário aplicar estratégias desde a educação inicial para promover uma cultura estatística.]]></p></abstract>
