A pesar de que la educación ambiental (EA) se plantea como parte de una solución a la problemática ambiental global, existe una brecha entre la EA y las acciones de la población, debido a que estas dependen del contexto, de las instituciones, de los procesos de educación formal e informal. A nivel escolar, esto involucra a las relaciones que se presentan entre los actores de toda la comunidad educativa. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, el presente artículo de reflexión tiene como objetivo analizar y plantear la necesidad de contextualizar las acciones pedagógicas en educación ambiental, desde un enfoque complementario del ser humano y el ambiente, que reconoce en la relación hombre-naturaleza-sociedad, un sistema dinámico que se modifica, forma vínculos o los rompe, dependiendo de factores sociales, culturales, económicos, costumbres, hábitos y creencias de las poblaciones. De este modo, se propone reconocer la importancia de plantear estrategias de EA enfocadas en el individuo desde su cuidado y multidimensionalidad, su familia, su entorno social y natural; estrategias que sean contextualizadas y encaminadas a la trasformación de hábitos y costumbres de los miembros de la comunidad educativa en general.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The environmental crisis is a social problem that depends on the human-nature-society relationship, an asymmetric relationship based on anthropocentrism (Aledo et al., 2002), where nature is seen with an instrumental value (Brennan y Lo, 2016). Even though environmental education (EE) is proposed as part of a solution to global environmental problems, there is a gap between EE and the actions of the population, because these depend on the context, institutions, as well as formal and informal education processes. At the school level, this involves the relationships between the actors of the entire educational community. Considering the above, the objective of this reflection article is to analyze and propose the need to contextualize pedagogical actions in environmental education, from a complementary approach to the human being and the environment, which recognizes in the relationship man - nature - society, a dynamic system that is modified, forms links or breaks them, depending on social, cultural, economic factors, customs, habits and beliefs of the populations. In this way, it is proposed to recognize the importance of proposing EA strategies focused on the individual from his care and multidimensionality, his family, his social and natural environment; strategies that are contextualized and aimed at the transformation of habits and customs of the members of the educational community in general.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo A crise ambiental é um problema social que depende da relação homem-natureza-sociedade, uma relação assimétrica baseada no antropocentrismo (Aledo et al., 2002), onde a natureza é vista com um valor instrumental (Brennan y Lo, 2016). Embora a educação ambiental (EA) seja proposta como parte de uma solução para problemas ambientais globais, existe uma brecha entre a EA e as ações da população, uma vez que estas dependem do contexto, das instituições, bem como dos processos de educação formal e informal. A nível escolar, isto envolve as relações entre os actores de toda a comunidade educativa. Tendo em conta o acima exposto, o objetivo deste artigo de reflexão é analisar e propor a necessidade de contextualizar as ações pedagógicas de educação ambiental, a partir de uma abordagem complementar do ser humano e do ambiente, que reconhece na relação entre o homem - natureza - sociedade, um sistema dinâmico que se modifica, forma ligações ou quebra-as, dependendo de fatores sociais, culturais, económicos, costumes, hábitos e crenças das populações. Desta forma, propõe-se reconhecer a importância de planejar estratégias de EA centradas no indivíduo a partir do seu cuidado e multidimensionalidade, da sua família, do seu ambiente social e natural; estratégias contextualizadas e destinadas a transformar os hábitos e costumes dos membros da comunidade educativa em geral.]]></p></abstract>
