El propósito de esta revisión fue caracterizar los procesos cognitivos que intervienen cuando se piensa tecnológicamente. En este sentido, se recopilaron, seleccionaron y organizaron diferentes fuentes documentales relacionadas con el PT y los procesos cognitivos implicados en este tipo de pensamiento. Adicionalmente, se contrastaron los diversos postulados teóricos de diferentes autores frente al tema y, finalmente, se planteó una interpretación propia de los procesos cognitivos que estructuran el PT. Los resultados de la revisión se presentan en tres apartados: procesos cognitivos asociados al pensamiento tecnológico, procesos cognitivos asociados a la solución de problemas (SP) tecnológicos y procesos cognitivos relacionados con el uso de herramientas tecnológicas. Entre los hallazgos más importantes se destaca la ubicación de los procesos de razonamiento tecnológico en el área frontoparietal dentro del lóbulo parietal inferior izquierdo y la existencia de procesos cognitivos exclusivos de la especie humana dentro del contexto tecnológico. Como conclusión, en este texto se finaliza reconociendo nueve procesos cognitivos que subyacen al PT.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article aims to establish a reference framework for characterizing the cognitive processes underlying technological thinking (TT), through a review of various documentary sources oriented towards the study of cognitive processes and the teaching of technology. This review aimed to characterize the cognitive processes involved in thinking technologically. In this regard, different documentary sources related to TT and the cognitive processes involved in this type of thinking were collected, selected, and organized. Additionally, the theoretical postulates of different authors on the topic are contrasted, and a personal interpretation of the cognitive processes structuring TT is proposed. The results of the review are presented in three sections: cognitive processes associated with technological thinking, cognitive processes associated with technical problem-solving, and cognitive processes related to the use of technological tools. Among the most important findings, the location of technological reasoning processes in the frontoparietal area within the left inferior parietal lobe is highlighted, as well as the existence of species-specific cognitive processes within the technological context. In conclusion, this text concludes by recognizing nine cognitive processes underlying TT.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo tem como objetivo estabelecer um quadro de referência para identificar os processos cognitivos subjacentes ao pensamento tecnológico (PT), por meio de uma revisão de diversas fontes documentais voltadas para o estudo dos processos cognitivos e o ensino de tecnologia. Essa revisão teve como objetivo caracterizar os processos cognitivos envolvidos no pensamento tecnológico. Nesse sentido, foram coletadas, selecionadas e organizadas diferentes fontes documentais relacionadas ao PT e aos processos cognitivos envolvidos nesse tipo de pensamento. Além disso, são contrastados os diversos postulados teóricos de diferentes autores sobre o tema e, por fim, é apresentada uma interpretação própria dos processos cognitivos que estruturam o PT. Os resultados da revisão são apresentados em três seções: processos cognitivos associados ao pensamento tecnológico, processos cognitivos associados à solução de problemas técnicos e processos cognitivos relacionados ao uso de ferramentas tecnológicas. Entre as descobertas mais importantes, destaca-se a localização dos processos de raciocínio tecnológico na área frontoparietal dentro do lobo parietal inferior esquerdo e a existência de processos cognitivos exclusivos da espécie humana dentro do contexto tecnológico. Em conclusão, neste texto, reconhecem-se nove processos cognitivos subjacentes ao PT.]]></p></abstract>
