El objetivo de la autora fue desarrollar una herramienta de diagnóstico que permitiera evaluar la representación de género proyectada en los libros analizados. La herramienta, basada en el análisis de contenido, consta de 35 variables y mostró una reproducibilidad medio-alta. Entre otras conclusiones, la autora considera que el método elegido, en virtud de su rigurosidad, es de utilidad para el diagnóstico de la representación de género en libros de narrativa dirigida al público infantil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[O artigo descreve a metodologia de uma pesquisa doutorai sobre a representação de gênero nas narrativas destinadas a crianças nas escolas peruanas. O objetivo da autora foi desenvolver uma ferramenta de diagnóstico que avaliasse a representação de gênero projetada nos livros analisados. A ferramenta, baseada na análise de conteúdo, consiste em 35 variáveis e mostrou uma reprodutibilidade média-alta. Entre outras conclusões, a autora considera que o método escolhido, em virtude de seu rigor, é de utilidade para o diagnóstico da representação de gênero em livros narrativos destinados ao público infantil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article describes the methodology of a doctoral research study on gender representation in children's literature used in Peruvian schools. The author's objective was to develop a diagnostic tool to assess the gender representation conveyed in the analyzed books. The tool, based on content analysis, comprises 35 variables and demonstrated medium-to-high reproducibility.
