Metodológicamente, a través del trabajo de archivo se analiza la cultura visual en medio de los grandes conflictos civiles y los proyectos de nación. En esta línea, la producción de imágenes que tuvo lugar en este tiempo revela: 1) una cierta lógica de la promoción nacional que hace visibles sus contradicciones; 2) la formación de una cultura visual que se lee en clave internacional, y, 3) el imaginario del tiempo nacional en el que se imposta un futuro desde un pasado común, al tiempo que este mismo se pone en cuestión por las diferencias que comportan los distintos conflictos civiles.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article focuses on the tripled relation among visual culture, civil wars and natio nal plan of the period from 1871 and 1885 in the Colombian twenty century; this im plies a certain circulation of objects and types of visual illustration common both in Europe and America. The aim is to examine the visual culture in the middle of big civil conflicts and the national promotion, on the basis that the production of images, in this time, reveal: 1) a specific logic about national promotion and a reflection which became visible its contradictions; 2) the configuration of a visual culture that it's possible to understand since international clue and 3) it becomes apparent the comprehension of national time where is strengthened a future since the common past, at the same time it is questio ned, since the present characterized by the differences which imply the civil wars.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este trabalho ocupa-se da triple relação entre cultura visual, guerras civis e projeto na ção no período compreendido entre 1871 e 1885 do século XIX colombiano, em chave do que implica uma certa circulação de objetos e modos de representação visual comuns tanto na Europa quanto na América. Metodologicamente, através do trabalho de arquivo a cultura visual do meio dos grandes conflitos civis e os projetos de nação é analisada. Nesta línea, a produção de imagens que ocorreu neste momento revela: 1) uma certa lógica da promoção nacional que faz visíveis as suas contradições; 2) a formação de uma cultura visual que se lê em chave internacional e, 3) o imaginário do tempo nacional em que impostase um futuro desde um passado comum, ao tempo que este mesmo é colocado em questão pelas diferenças que envolvem os diferentes conflitos civis.]]></p></abstract>
