En este marco, exponemos una visión de conjunto con los beneficios potenciales y los riesgos éticos que supone incorporar la IAG en la educación media y superior. Explicamos algunos conceptos básicos del ámbito, como inteligencia artificial (generativa), modelo de lenguaje o algoritmo, además de esbozar la línea cronológica de desarrollo hasta la actualidad de esta tecnología. Documentamos diversos ejemplos empíricos de prácticas letradas expertas de varios profesionales (periodista, abogado, publicista). A continuación, abordamos las potencialidades que ofrece la IAG para el docente y para el aprendiz; presentamos un protocolo didáctico para legitimarla en el aula, con énfasis en la importancia del aprendizaje autorregulado o adaptativo, y cerramos con varias reflexiones sobre la época del posplagio y la escritura híbrida humano/IAG.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) applications like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot are profoundly transforming communities&#8217; literacy practices, emerging as effective assistants for readers and writers. In this context, this work presents an overview of the potential benefits and ethical risks of incorporating GAI into secondary and higher education. It explains some basic concepts in the field, such as (generative) artificial intelligence, language model, and algorithm, and it outlines the timeline of this technology&#8217;s development to date. This article documents various empirical examples of expert literacy practices by different professionals (journalists, lawyers, and advertisers). Afterwards, it discusses the potentials that GAI offers for both teachers and learners, presenting a didactic protocol to legitimize this technology in the classroom, emphasizing the importance of self-regulated or adaptive learning, and concluding with several reflections on the post-plagiarism era and human-GAI hybrid writing.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo As aplicações de Inteligência Artificial Generativa (IAG), como ChatGPT, Gemini e Copilot, estão transformando profundamente as práticas letradas da comunidade, surgindo como assistentes eficazes para leitores e escritores. Nesse contexto, apresentamos uma visão geral dos benefícios potenciais e dos riscos éticos da incorporação da IAG no ensino médio e superior. Explicamos alguns conceitos básicos da área, como inteligência artificial (generativa), modelo de linguagem ou algoritmo, além de traçar a linha cronológica do desenvolvimento dessa tecnologia até os dias atuais. Documentamos diversos exemplos empíricos de práticas letradas especializadas de vários profissionais (jornalista, advogado, publicitário). Em seguida, abordamos as potencialidades que a IAG oferece tanto para o docente quanto para o aprendiz, apresentamos um protocolo didático para legitimar a IAG na sala de aula, enfatizando a importância do aprendizado autorregulado ou adaptativo, e finalizamos com várias reflexões sobre a era do pós-plágio e a escrita híbrida humano-IAG.]]></p></abstract>
