Esta investigación apostó por promover el intercambio entre comunidades educativas de diferentes contextos, con el fin de construir pensamiento crítico y proponer acciones colectivas, apoyadas en herramientas tecnológicas, en torno a problemas que conciernen a la humanidad. El estudio se desarrolló a lo largo de 2017 en Bogotá, con dos experiencias educativas en las que la comunicación digital interactiva ocupa un lugar central: la escuela mediática y el Colegio Venecia IED. Con estas experiencias, se puso en marcha una investigación-acción participativa en la que se combinaron diversas técnicas: entrevistas semiestructuradas, grupos focales, observación participante, análisis de contenidos textuales y audiovisuales, entre otras. Entre los resultados más significativos, se identificó que los estudiantes de ambas experiencias promueven la reflexión y el pensamiento crítico en torno a asuntos de relevancia mundial, como los temas de género y, en especial, el cuidado del medio ambiente. Ello lo realizan a través del ciberactivismo y de la creación de redes, espacios y contenidos digitales. Se concluye que el ciberactivismo, promovido en los procesos educativos, contribuye a la educación para la ciudadanía mundial en tanto propicia la comprensión e intervención de problemas sociales y ambientales que afectan a la humanidad. Este artículo realiza un aporte original al explorar teórica y empíricamente los vínculos entre ciberactivismo y educación para la ciudadanía mundial, relación aún muy poco estudiada en la literatura académica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents the results of a research project that sought to understand how cyberactivism could further global citizenship education. This research opted for promoting exchange among educational communities from various contexts in order to develop critical thinking and propose collective actions, supported by technological tools, on problems that concern humanity. The study was conducted throughout 2017 in Bogota using two educational experiences focused on interactive digital communication: media school and Colegio Venecia IED. Building on these experiences, a participatory action research project was launched which combined several techniques: Semi-structured interviews, focus groups, participant observation, textual and audiovisual content analysis, etc. One of the most significant results show that students in both experiences promoted reflection and critical thinking about globally relevant matters, such as gender issues and, especially, environmental protection, through cyberactivism and the creation of digital networks, spaces and contents. It is concluded that cyberactivism, promoted in educational processes, contributes to global citizenship education as it fosters the understanding of and intervention in social and environmental problems that affect humanity. This article makes an original contribution by theoretically and empirically exploring the links between cyberactivism and global citizenship education, a relationship that has been little studied in the literature.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa que buscou compreender como o ciberativismo pode contribuir para a educação para a cidadania mundial. Esta pesquisa optou por promover o intercâmbio entre comunidades educacionais de diferentes contextos, a fim de construir o pensamento crítico e propor ações coletivas, apoiadas por ferramentas tecnológicas, em torno de problemas que dizem respeito à humanidade. O estudo foi desenvolvido ao longo de 2017, em Bogotá, com duas experiências educacionais em que a comunicação digital interativa ocupa um lugar central: a escola de mídia e o Colégio Veneza IED. Com essas experiências, foi lançada uma pesquisa-ação participativa, na qual foram combinadas diversas técnicas: entrevistas semiestruturadas, grupos focais, observação participante, análise de conteúdos textuais e audiovisuais etc. Entre os resultados mais significativos, identificou-se que os alunos de ambas as experiências promovem a reflexão e o pensamento crítico em torno de questões de relevância mundial, como temáticas de gênero e, principalmente, de cuidado com o meio ambiente. Eles fazem isso por meio do ciberativismo e da criação de redes, espaços e conteúdos digitais. Conclui-se que o ciberativismo, promovido nos processos educacionais, apoia a educação para a cidadania mundial, na medida em que promove o entendimento e a intervenção de problemas sociais e ambientais que afetam a humanidade. Este artigo faz uma contribuição original, já que explora teórica e empiricamente os vínculos entre o ciberativismo e a educação para a cidadania mundial, relação ainda pouquíssimo estudada na literatura acadêmica.]]></p></abstract>
