Los cuatro genotipos, con cuatro replicaciones cada uno, fueron distribuidos aleatoriamente en 16 unidades experimentales. Cada unidad experimental estuvo representada por 16 surcos de 29 m de longitud, espaciados a 0,85 m, con una distancia de siembra entre golpes de 0,30 m y tres semillas por golpe. Las características agronómicas se evaluaron a los 93 días de siembra, mientras que el rendimiento productivo, nutricional y económico fueron estimados a los 110 días postsiembra. Los genotipos INIA 617 y M28 alcanzaron la mayor altura de planta, mientras que INIA 619 y Atlas 777 mostraron el mayor número de hojas y número de mazorcas por planta, respectivamente. El factor estado de madurez del forraje solo influyó en el rendimiento de fibra detergente neutro (FDN) y fibra detergente ácido (FDA) y fue observado en INIA 617 y M28T, genotipos cosechados al estado de madurez recomendado. Por efecto de genotipos, Atlas 777 alcanzó el mayor rendimiento en materia verde y peso de mazorcas, así como el mayor rendimiento en proteína, grasa y cenizas, una superioridad debida posiblemente a su característica permanentemente verde. Basados en el rendimiento de materia seca y la utilidad, los cuatro genotipos muestran similar potencial productivo y económico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of the research was to compare the agronomic, productive, nutritional and economic characteristics of four forage maize genotypes: INIA 617 Chuska, M28T Marginal 28 Tropical, Atlas 777 and INIA 619 Megahybrid, in the Chancay Valley - Peru. The four genotypes, with four replications each, were randomly distributed in 16 experimental units. Each experimental unit was represented by 16 rows of 29 m in length, spaced at 0.85 m, with a sowing distance between hits of 0.30 m and three seeds per hit. The agronomic characteristics were evaluated at 93 days of planting, while the productive, nutritional and economic yield were estimated at 110 days after planting. The INIA 617 and M28 genotypes reached the highest plant height, while INIA 619 and Atlas 777 showed the highest number of leaves and number of ears per plant, respectively. The maturity state factor of the forage only influenced the yield of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF) and was observed in INIA 617 and M28T, genotypes harvested at the recommended maturity state. By effect of genotypes, Atlas 777 achieved the highest yield in green matter and ear weight, as well as the highest yield in protein, fat and ash, superiority possibly due to its stay green characteristic. Based on dry matter yield and utility, the four genotypes show similar productive and economic potential.]]></p></abstract>
