Resultados de investigaciones neurocientíficas se convierten en una posibilidad para contribuir al mejoramiento de procesos educativos y a la solución de problemas relacionados con el aprendizaje. El objetivo del artículo se orienta a revisar las contribuciones de las neurociencias a la educación, de manera particular, a los factores del entorno sociocultural que influyen en el aprendizaje. La revisión se delimita con el marco temporal 2002-2014, mediante la búsqueda en bases de datos y sistemas internacionales que denotan la relación neurociencias, educación y entorno social. Factores como salud, ambiente vital, ejercicio físico y aspectos como plasticidad, madurez cerebral y neuronas espejo son relevantes para considerar el influjo del entorno sociocultural en la educación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The relationship between neurosciences and education moves between detractors and defenders, with intermediate movements that call for dialogue and collaboration in the search for mutual benefit. The results of neuroscientific researches have become a possibility to contribute to the improvement of educational processes and to the solution of learning issues. This article aims to review the contributions of neurosciences to education, particularly to factors related to the sociocultural context that influence learning. The review is limited to the 2002-2014 period through research in databases and international systems that demonstrate the relationship between neurosciences, education and the social environment. Factors like health, living environment, physical exercise, and other aspects such as plasticity, brain maturity and mirror neurons are relevant to consider the influence of the sociocultural environment over education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO A relação entre neurociencias e educação move-se entre detratores e defensores, com um movimento intermédio que clama por um diálogo e uma colaboração na busca do benefício mútuo. Os resultados das pesquisas neurocientistas transformam-se em uma possibilidade para contribuir ao melhoramento de processos educativos, e à solução de problemas relacionados com a aprendizagem. O objetivo do artigo está orientado à revisão das contribuições das neurociencias para a educação, com uma vista particular aos fatores do ambiente sociocultural que influem na aprendizagem. A revisão delimita-se no quadro temporal de 2002-2014, mediante a pesquisa de bancos de dados e sistemas internacionais, que denotam a relação entre as neurociencias, a educação e o ambiente social. Fatores como a saúde, o ambiente vital, o exercício físico, e aspectos como plasticidade, maturidade do cérebro e neurônios-espelho, são relevantes para considerar a influência do ambiente sociocultural na educação.]]></p></abstract>
