El marco teórico es la metáfora conceptual, tal como se entiende en lingüística cognitiva. Se elaboró un instrumento con la forma de entradas escritas para motivar la producción de expresiones metafóricas. El instrumento se aplicó a 125 estudiantes de 5.º año de pedagogía en inglés de tres universidades chilenas. Los datos se estudiaron mediante un análisis de contenido para la metáfora. Se obtuvieron seis categorías de metáforas conceptuales que configuran principalmente la planificación de la enseñanza como una ayuda al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The aim of this qualitative research is to analyze teacher candidates&#8217; views on lesson planning. The theoretical framework is based on conceptual metaphors as they are understood by Cognitive Linguistics. A written prompt instrument was created to trigger the production of metaphoric expressions. The instrument was run on 125 fifth year teacher candidates from English Language Teaching Programs in three Chilean universities. The data were analyzed through content analysis to elicit metaphors from the data. Six conceptual metaphor categories were defined to mainly describe lesson planning as a help for the teaching and learning process.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé: L&#8217;objectif de cette recherche qualitative est d'analyser les conceptualisations de futurs enseignants en ce qui concerne la planification de l'enseignement. Le cadre théorique est la métaphore conceptuelle, telle qu'elle est comprise dans la Linguistique Cognitive. Un instrument sous la forme d'entrées écrites a été développé pour encourager la production d'expressions métaphoriques. L'instrument a été appliqué à 125 étudiants de 5e année en formation pédagogique en anglais de trois universités chiliennes. Les résultats ont été analysés par une analyse du contenu de la métaphore. Six catégories de métaphores conceptuelles ont été obtenues qui configurent principalement la planification de l'enseignement comme une aide au processus d'enseignement et d'apprentissage.]]></p></abstract>
