Analisou-se as bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde, SCOPUS, Scielo Brasil e o Banco de Teses e Dissertações Brasileiro. Foram excluídos estudos que relacionavam otimismo à otimização de máquinas, tratamentos médicos e processos administrativos, além de estudos que abordavam o otimismo referente à saúde, mas sem ter relação com o trabalho. Os resultados desta pesquisa corroboram o que na literatura tem sido demonstrado sobre os efeitos positivos que o otimismo causa na vida do trabalhador, influenciando na saúde física, mental e no exercício do trabalho dele. Os estudos demonstraram que o otimismo tem sido relacionado a variáveis como liderança, resiliência, autoestima, autoconfiança, autoeficácia, satisfação no trabalho, esperança, motivação, proatividade e engajamento no trabalho. Porém, na maioria dos artigos encontrados não se observou preocupação em definir o conceito de otimismo, restringindo-se em citar benefícios relacionados ao constructo. As pesquisas sobre o otimismo no ambiente laboral brasileiro ainda são poucas e recentes. O cenário internacional apresentou estudos a partir de 2000, indo ao encontro do aumento das produções científicas sobre o tema com o avanço da Psicologia Positiva. Esta revisão não localizou outras revisões integrativas/de literatura sobre otimismo no trabalho, apenas uma revisão relacionando otimismo e saúde. Conclui-se que o estudo sobre otimismo no trabalho vem crescendo, mas ainda sua forma de análise é em grande maioria de base quantitativa, mostrando lacunas que podem ser exploradas por meio de estudos qualitativos e mistos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this integrative review research was to systematize Brazilian and international scientific productions regarding optimism at work. The Virtual Health Library, SCOPUS, Scielo Brasil databases and the Brazilian Theses and Dissertations database were analyzed. Studies that related optimism to the optimization of machines, medical treatments and administrative processes were excluded, as well as studies that addressed health-related optimism, but without having to do with work. The results of this research corroborate what has been demonstrated in the literature about the positive effects that optimism causes in the worked s life, influencing his physical, mental health and the exercise of his work. Studies have shown that optimism has been linked to variables such as leadership, resilience, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-efficacy, job satisfaction, hope, motivation, proactivity and engagement at work. However, in most of the articles found there was no concern with defining the concept of optimism, restricting itself to citing benefits related to the construct. Research on optimism in the Brazilian work environment is still few and recent. The international scenario presented studies from 2000 onwards, meeting the increase in scientific production on the subject with the advancement of Positive Psychology. This review did not find other integrative / literature reviews on optimism at work, only one review relating optimism and health. It is concluded that the study on optimism at work has been growing, but its form of analysis is still largely quantitative, showing gaps that can be explored through qualitative and mixed studies.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo de esta investigación de revisión integradora fue sistematizar las producciones científicas brasileñas e internacionales sobre el optimismo en el trabajo. Se analizaron las bases de datos de la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud, SCOPUS, Scielo Brasil y la base de datos de Tesis y Disertaciones de Brasil. Se excluyeron los estudios que relacionaban el optimismo con la optimización de las máquinas, los tratamientos médicos y los procesos administrativos, así como los estudios que abordaban el optimismo relacionado con la salud, pero sin tener que ver con el trabajo. Los resultados de esta investigación corroboran lo que se ha demostrado en la literatura sobre los efectos positivos que causa el optimismo en la vida del trabajador, influyendo en su salud física, mental y el ejercicio de su trabajo. Los estudios han demostrado que el optimismo se ha relacionado con variables como el liderazgo, la resiliencia, la autoestima, la autoconfianza, la autoeficacia, la satisfacción laboral, la esperanza, la motivación, la proactividad y el compromiso en el trabajo. Sin embargo, en la mayoría de los artículos encontrados no hubo preocupación por definir el concepto de optimismo, limitándose a citar los beneficios relacionados con el constructo. La investigación sobre el optimismo en el ambiente de trabajo brasileño es aún escasa y reciente. El escenario internacional presentó estudios desde 2000 en adelante, cumpliendo el aumento de la producción científica sobre el tema con el avance de la Psicología Positiva. Esta revisión no encontró otras revisiones integrales / bibliográficas sobre optimismo en el trabajo, solo una revisión que relaciona optimismo y salud. Se concluye que el estudio sobre optimismo en el trabajo ha ido creciendo, pero su forma de análisis sigue siendo en gran medida cuantitativa, mostrando brechas que pueden explorarse a través de estudios cualitativos y mixtos.]]></p></abstract>
