Este estudo é uma revisão integrativa que teve como objetivo investigar o conceito de autoeficácia ocupacional a fim de conhecer características importantes sobre o tema e ampliar a compreensão do conceito. O método adotado seguiu seis etapas: 1) identificação do tema e seleção da questão de pesquisa; 2) estabelecimento dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão; 3) identificação dos estudos préselecionados e selecionados; 4) categorização dos estudos selecionados; 5) análise e interpretação dos resultados; e 6) apresentação da revisão/síntese do conhecimento. As bases de dados consultadas foram Web of Science, Lilacs, PubMed, Scielo, Scopus, PsycINFO e Pepsic, considerando todo o período de publicações. Os resultados apresentados mostram correlações entre a autoeficácia ocupacional e diversos indicadores psicossociais no trabalho como motivação, engajamento, satisfação, saúde e bem estar. Instrumentos para a mensuração deste construto podem ser utilizados para subsidiar intervenções no campo da Psicologia e no contexto do trabalho. As organizações podem promover o desenvolvimento de crenças de autoeficácia entre os trabalhadores a fim de prepará-los para suas atividades, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento das pessoas e da própria organização, também é possível desenvolver a autoeficácia de uma pessoa por meio de estratégias no âmbito clínico, tais intervenções poderão ser conduzidas por profissionais da área da psicologia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Occupational self-efficacy is a person's belief that he can perform behaviors relevant to his job. This study is an integrative review that aimed to investigate the concept of occupational self-efficacy in order to learn about important characteristics on the subject and to broaden the understanding of the concept. The adopted method followed six stages: 1) identification of the theme and selection of the research question; 2) establishment of inclusion and exclusion criteria; 3) identification of pre-selected and selected studies; 4) categorization of selected studies; 5) analysis and interpretation of results; and 6) presentation of the knowledge review/synthesis. The databases consulted were Web of Science, Lilacs, PubMed, Scielo, Scopus, PsyclNFO and Pepsic, considering the entire publication period. The results presented show correlations between occupational self-efficacy and several psychosocial indicators at work, such as motivation, engagement, satisfaction, health and well-being. Instruments for measuring this construct can be used to support interventions in the field of Psychology and in the context of work. Organizations can promote the development of self-efficacy beliefs among workers in order to prepare them for their activities, contributing to the development of people and the organization itself, such interventions may be conducted by professionals in the field of psychology.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La autoeficacia ocupacional es la creencia de una persona de que puede realizar comportamientos relevantes para su trabajo. Este estudio es una revisión integradora que tuvo como objetivo investigar el concepto de autoeficacia ocupacional con el fin de conocer características importantes sobre el tema y ampliar la comprensión del concepto. El método adoptado siguió seis etapas: 1) identificación del tema y selección de la pregunta de investigación; 2) establecimiento de criterios de inclusión y exclusión; 3) identificación de estudios preseleccionados y seleccionados; 4) categorización de los estudios seleccionados; 5) análisis e interpretación de resultados; y 6) presentación de la revisión/síntesis de conocimientos.
