Este artículo tiene por objetivo examinar los efectos directos e interactivos de las autoevaluaciones esenciales (core self-evaluations, CSE) y la autonomía sobre el work engagement en una muestra de 136 académicos argentinos. Por un lado, los resultados de los análisis de regresiones jerárquicas revelan que tanto la autonomía como las CSE exhiben un efecto positivo sobre el work engagement. Por el otro, los resultados también demuestran que los efectos de la autonomía sobre dos dimensiones del work engagement, la dedicación y la absorción, se ven moderados por las CSE.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The evidence regarding the way personal and job resources interplay in predicting work engagement has been limited and inconsistent. This paper aims to examine the direct and interactive effects of core self-evaluations (CSE) and autonomy on work engagement in a sample of 136 Argentinian scholars. Results of the hierarchical regression analyses reveal that both autonomy and CSE exhibit a direct and positive effect on work engagement. Results also show that the positive effects of autonomy on two dimensions of work engagement, namely, dedication and absorption, are moderated by CSE.]]></p></abstract>

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os efeitos diretos e interativos das autoavaliações essenciais (core self-evaluations, CSE) e a autonomia sobre o work engagement em uma amostra de 136 acadêmicos argentinos.
