El artículo aporta al debate sobre el modo en que este tipo de empresas alcanzan la viabilidad financiera, y ofrece evidencia, a partir de la metodología del estudio de caso de la empresa Liight, sobre la importancia de la inversión sostenible y de impacto para el emprendimiento social. Se concluye que la empresa Liight ha encontrado su viabilidad financiera no solo gracias a los fondos aportados por los inversores sostenibles y de impacto, sino también gracias al apoyo recibido en cuanto al desarrollo de capacidades, lo que ha favorecido su crecimiento y su contribución al desarrollo sostenible. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research aimed to study how sustainable and impact investment contribute to the financial viability of social enterprises. The paper contributes to the debate on how these types of enterprises achieve financial viability and provides evidence, through the methodology of the Liight case study, on the importance of sustainable and impact investment for social entrepreneurship. It is concluded that the social enterprise Liight has found its financial viability not only thanks to the funds provided by sustainable and impact investors but also thanks to the support received in terms of capacity building, which has favored its growth and contribution to sustainable development.]]></p></abstract>

O artigo contribui para o debate sobre a forma como esse tipo de empresa alcança a viabilidade financeira e oferece evidências, com base na metodologia do estudo de caso da empresa Liight, sobre a importância do investimento sustentável e de impacto para o empreendedorismo.
