De esta forma, con el concepto comunidad emocional se identificaron palabras y frases -con su variabilidad semántica y gramatical- por donde transitaron las definiciones de los trastornos de conducta y cambios de personalidad de soldados. Un tema que requiere ser estudiado en un período de larga duración para observar cómo ciertos términos acabaron imponiéndose sobre otros.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The article gives an account of the discourses on and representations of emotions and illnesses that arose within an emotional community made up of senior military officers, members of the medical corps, and soldiers throughout three wars: World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War. It is based entirely on a series of written and oral testimonies of the participants. Thus, using the concept of emotional community, certain words and phrases were identified -with their semantic and grammatical variations- through which the definitions of the soldiers' behavioral disorders and personality changes had passed. This is a subject that must be studied over a long period of time in order to observe how certain terms came to predominate over others.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO O artigo trata dos discursos e das representações sobre as emoções e as doenças geradas dentro de uma comunidade emocional formada por altos comandos militares, corpo médico e soldados ao longo de três conflitos bélicos -Primeira Guerra Mundial, Segunda Guerra Mundial e guerra do Vietnã-, tudo a partir de uma série de testemunhos escritos e orais dos participantes. Dessa forma, usando o conceito de comunidade emocional, foram identificadas palavras e frases -com sua variabilidade semântica e gramatical- pelas quais transitaram as definições dos transtornos de comportamento e mudanças de personalidade dos soldados.
