Objetivou-se demonstrar de que maneira sujeitos de camadas populares, marcados pela descontinuidade no processo de escolarização e pela vulnerabilidade laboral, optaram por um candidato de extrema direita. Os dados apresentados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas individuais, não diretivas e semiestruturadas, grupos focais e observação de diálogos em aplicativos de mensagens, em 2022 e 2023. Para analisar os resultados, adotou-se como perspectiva teórico-metodológica a Teoria do Discurso da Escola de Essex. Partindo das categorias de identificação política, antagonismo e fantasia, concluiu-se que os estudantes foram mobilizados por pautas de cunho moral, sobretudo a defesa da família, as quais se articularam, antagonicamente, em torno do combate a um inimigo comum: o Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) e a esquerda. Do ponto de vista ideológico ou fantasmático, verificou-se que os estudantes foram envolvidos nesse regime de crenças mediante forte mobilização de afetos, como medo, frustração e ressentimento, que se manifestaram, entre outros motivos, em virtude da não inserção desse público em determinadas políticas de inclusão social dos governos petistas. Em termos de originalidade, o texto apresenta como esses sujeitos de camadas populares, a partir de seu cotidiano, atribuíram sentido à proposta da extrema direita brasileira e exemplifica como a estratégia digital de desintermediação entre líder e povo foi fundamental para o êxito do bolsonarismo no grupo em questão.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: El artículo aborda el proceso de identificación política de estudiantes de cursos técnicos vinculados a la escuela secundaria, en la modalidad de la educación de jóvenes y adultos, con el candidato Jair Messias Bolsonaro, en las elecciones presidenciales brasileñas de 2018 y 2022. El objetivo del estudio fue demostrar cómo sujetos de las clases bajas, marcados por la discontinuidad en el proceso escolar y por la vulnerabilidad laboral, optaron por un candidato de extrema derecha. Los datos presentados se recopilaron a través de entrevistas individuales, no directivas y semiestructuradas, grupos focales y observación de diálogos en aplicaciones de mensajería, en 2022 y 2023. Para analizar los resultados, se adoptó la teoría del discurso de la Escuela de Essex como perspectiva teórico-metodológica. Partiendo de las categorías de identificación política, antagonismo y fantasía, se concluyó que los estudiantes estaban movilizados por agendas morales, especialmente la defensa de la familia, que se articulaban, antagónicamente, en torno a la lucha contra un enemigo común: el Partido de los Trabajadores (PT) y la izquierda. Desde el punto de vista ideológico o fantasmático, se constató que los estudiantes se vieron involucrados en este régimen de creencias a través de una fuerte movilización de afectos, como el miedo, la frustración y el resentimiento, que se manifestaron, entre otras razones, por la no consideración de este público en ciertas políticas de inclusión social de los Gobiernos del PT. En términos de originalidad, el texto presenta cómo estos sujetos de las clases bajas, a partir de su vida cotidiana, atribuyeron significado a la propuesta de la extrema derecha brasileña y ejemplifica el modo en que la estrategia digital de desintermediación entre líder y pueblo fue fundamental para el éxito del bolsonarismo en el grupo en cuestión.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article examines the political identification of students enrolled in technical courses linked to secondary education, within the youth and adult education track, with Jair Messias Bolsonaro during the 2018 and 2022 Brazilian presidential elections. The study seeks to explain how members of the lower classes-marked by interrupted schooling and precarious labor conditions-came to support a far-right candidate. Data were collected in 2022 and 2023 through individual non-directive and semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and observations of conversations on messaging applications. The analysis adopts the discourse theory of the Essex School as its theoretical and methodological framework. Drawing on the categories of political identification, antagonism, and fantasy, the findings indicate that students were mobilized by moral agendas-particularly the defense of the family-constructed antagonistically around the struggle against a common enemy: the Workers&#8217; Party (PT) and the political left. From an ideological, or &#8220;fantasmatic,&#8221; perspective, students were incorporated into this system of belief through the mobilization of powerful emotions such as fear, frustration, and resentment, fueled in part by their exclusion from certain social inclusion policies of PT governments. In terms of originality, the article demonstrates how these working-class actors, through the lens of their everyday experiences, ascribed meaning to the Brazilian far-right project and shows how the digital strategy of disintermediation between leader and people was central to the consolidation of Bolsonarismo within this group.]]></p></abstract>
