A pesar de ello, los impactos en estos ecosistemas han persistido, lo que desemboca en el deterioro de los servicios ecosistémicos que proveen. Una forma complementaria de analizar su diversidad es mediante los índices de diversidad taxonómica, los cuales constituyen medidas valiosas para su comprensión y conservación. Con el objetivo de evaluar la diversidad taxonómica de la flora vascular a partir de los índices &#916;+ y &#923;+ y algunos patrones de diversidad relacionados con el recambio de especies en los humedales costeros del Perú, se analizó la información existente sobre 109 especies de plantas vasculares distribuidas en ocho humedales de esa región. Los humedales de Santa Rosa, Pantanos de Villa y Carquín presentaron los valores más altos de &#916;+, lo que exige un esfuerzo para su conservación con el fin de proteger la diversidad filogenètica que albergan. La riqueza evidenció su correlación con el &#916;+ (r=0,931; p&lt;0,05) y con el &#923;+ (r=-0,878; p&lt;0,05), y se obtuvo un modelo lineal confiable del &#916;+ en función de la riqueza (R2=0,86), cuyo uso permitiría simplificar el cálculo de la diversidad taxonómica de las plantas vasculares de esta región. No se encontraron diferencias de los valores del &#916;+ entre los humedales protegidos y los no protegidos (t=0,96; p&gt;0,05), y no se halló correlación entre la distancia de un humedal a otro y la diversidad beta (p&gt;0,05). Dichos resultados evidencian la necesidad de proponer medidas para proteger estos humedales, estableciendo un corredor costero que incluya aquellos no protegidos en la actualidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In recent years, interest in studying wetlands has been increasing but the impacts on these ecosystems have persisted with the subsequent deterioration of the ecosystem services they provide. One way of analyzing their diversity is through taxonomic diversity indices which provide valuable measures for their understanding and conservation. To evaluate the taxonomic diversity of the vascular flora using the &#916;+ and &#923;+ indices, as well as some of their diversity patterns related to the exchange of species in the coastal wetlands of Perú, we analyzed the existing data on 109 species of vascular plants distributed in eight coastal wetlands in this region. The Santa Rosa, Pantanos de Villa, and Carquín wetlands presented the highest &#916;+ values suggesting the need for their conservation to protect the phylogenetic diversity in the harbor. Richness was correlated to the &#916;+ (r = 0.931; p &lt; 0.05) and &#923;+ (r = -0.878; p &lt; 0.05) indices and a reliable linear model of &#916;+ was obtained as a function of richness (R2 = 0.86) whose use would simplify the calculation of taxonomic diversity of vascular plants in this region. No differences were found for &#916;+ values between protected and unprotected wetlands (t = 0.96; p &gt; 0.05) and no correlation between the distance from wetland to wetland and the beta diversity (p &gt; 0.05). Additionally, our results suggest the importance of adopting measures to protect these wetlands establishing them as a coastal corridor including currently unprotected wetlands.]]></p></abstract>
