Sosteniendo la postura sedente en el mambeadero, espacio ritual cotidiano, los hombres adquieren el repertorio gestual colectivo al tiempo que cultivan su atención por medio de las plantas de tabaco y coca. Sentándose en postura de cuclillas durante los encuentros nocturnos, las personas encarnan la figura de un canasto (k&#616;r&#616;ga&#616;), pues la formación humana se entiende como un tejido: el cuerpo es una trama de músculos, afectos y pensamientos que requieren tensionarse en una estructura ordenada. La metodología incluye: 1) el estudio interpretativo de dos textos relevantes del corpus murui publicado, 2) la palabra de consejo (yetarafue) de cinco mambeadores, y 3) una etnografía del mambeadero Nokaido, en el municipio de Leticia, en la Amazonía colombiana. Si bien trabajos anteriores señalan los aspectos significativos de este entrenamiento corporal, esta etnografía dedica exclusividad inédita a este fenómeno. Concluyo que sentarse es una técnica de formación de cuerpos ligada semánticamente con la cestería murui y el procesamiento de ambil de tabaco y de sal vegetal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The practice of sitting (ana ra&#616;i) is one of the foundations of Murui personal formation. By maintaining a seated posture in the mambeadero, an everyday ritual space, men acquire the collective gestural repertoire while cultivating attention through tobacco and coca plants. When sitting in a squatting posture during nocturnal gatherings, people embody the figure of a basket (k&#616;r&#616;ga&#616;), since human formation is understood as a weaving process: the body is conceived as a fabric of muscles, affects, and thoughts that must be tightened into an ordered structure. The methodology includes (1) an interpretative study of two relevant texts from the published Murui corpus; (2) the yetarafue&#8212;words of counsel&#8212;of five mambeadores; and (3) an ethnography of the Nokaido mambeadero in the municipality of Leticia, in the Colombian Amazon. While previous studies have noted key aspects of this bodily training, this ethnography offers unprecedented focus on the phenomenon. I conclude that sitting is a technique of bodily formation semantically linked to Murui basketry and to the processing of tobacco ambil and plant-based ash salt.]]></p></abstract>

Ao manter a postura sentada no mambeadero, um espaço ritual cotidiano, os homens adquirem o repertório gestual coletivo enquanto cultivam sua atenção por meio das plantas de tabaco e coca. Sentados em uma postura de cócoras durante as reuniões noturnas, as pessoas incorporam a figura de uma cesta (k&#616;r&#616;ga&#616;), pois a formação humana é entendida como uma tecelagem: o corpo é uma trama de músculos, afetos e pensamentos que precisam ser tensionados em uma estrutura ordenada. A metodologia inclui 1) o estudo interpretativo de dois textos relevantes do corpus murui publicado, 2) a palavra de conselho (yetarafue) de cinco mambeadores e 3) um estudo etnográfico do mambeadero Nokaido, na cidade de Leticia, na Amazônia colombiana. Embora trabalhos anteriores apontem para aspectos significativos desse treinamento corporal, esta etnografia dedica-se exclusivamente a esse fenômeno.
