<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1692-17982021000100026&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1692-17982021000100026&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1692-17982021000100026&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El presente documento describe de manera general aspectos relevantes para el establecimiento de un monitoreo comunitario en una cuenca hidrográfica, instaurando la importancia de incluir de manera activa a los principales actores relacionados con el sistema hídrico en aras de un empoderamiento de los territorios y los ecosistemas para su sostenibilidad. Este trabajo contempla una revisión de modelos de monitoreos comunitarios aplicado a cuencas hidrográficas a nivel nacional e internacional, con el objetivo de identificar los elementos fundamentales para el establecimiento de la ruta o pasos para el desarrollo de monitoreo comunitario en microcuencas, tomando como referente el Río Frío. La ruta establecida parte de la conformación de un equipo liderado por la comunidad que habita en el área de influencia directa de la microcuenca y demás partes interesadas como autoridades ambientales, operadores de servicios públicos (acueducto y alcantarillado), comunidad académica (expertos) y organizaciones ambientales, quienes serán encargados de construir el contexto del ecosistema, identificar los problemas, planear y ejecutar los monitoreos y gestionar el conocimiento adquirido para lograr el saneamiento y la sostenibilidad del recurso.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This document generally describes relevant aspects for the establishment of community monitoring in a river basin, establishing the importance of actively including the main actors related to the water system in order to make territories and ecosystems sustainable. This work contemplates a review of community monitoring models applied to hydrographic basins at the national and international level with the objective of identifying the fundamental elements for the establishment of the route or steps for the development of community monitoring in micro-basins, taking Río Frío as a reference. The established route starts from the formation of a team led by the community that lives in the area of direct influence of the micro-basin and other interested parties such as environmental authorities, public service operators (aqueduct and sewerage), academic community (experts), and environmental organizations, who will be in charge of building the ecosystem context, identifying problems, planning and executing monitoring and managing the knowledge acquired to achieve sanitation and sustainability of the resource.]]></p></abstract>
