Assim, objetiva-se analisar os problemas atuais e os impactos socioambientais da matriz energética brasileira e algumas alternativas para diversificação. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, em autores nacionais e estrangeiros, bem como estudos técnicos e de outras áreas do conhecimento além da jurídica, em vista do caráter transdisciplinar do tema. Os resultados do artigo entendem a matriz energética brasileira como insustentável e que é necessário que os tomadores de decisão e a sociedade realizem uma transição energética para fontes alternativas re nováveis, bem como políticas públicas de diminuição do consumo. Não deve haver escolha por uma fonte única, mas sim realização de estudos ambientais para determinar os impactos das renováveis e avaliação de seus benefícios e malefícios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El tema propuesto para este estudio es comprobar la posibilidad de diversificación de la matriz energética brasileña, desde la elección de fuentes renovables, lo que reduce el impacto ambiental de las fuentes tradicionales y el fomento del consumo responsable. Por lo tanto, el objetivo es analizar los problemas actuales y los impactos ambientales de la matriz energética brasileña y algunas alternativas para la diversificación. Se utilizó como metodología la investigación bibliográfica y documental de autores nacionales y extranjeros, así como los estudios técnicos y otros campos del conocimiento, en vista de la naturaleza transdisciplinaria del tema. Los resultados del artículo entienden la matriz energética brasileña como insostenible y que es necesario que los decisores y la sociedad realicen una transición energética para fuentes alternativas renovables y también políticas públicas de disminución del consumo. No debe haber elección por una fuente única, sino realización de estudios ambientales para determinar los impactos de las renovables y evaluación de sus beneficios e maleficios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The objective is to analyze the current problems and the environmental impacts of the Brazilian energy matrix and some alternatives for diversification. The methodology used was the bibliographical and documentary research in national and foreign authors, as well as technical studies and other fields of knowledge beyond legal, because of the transdisci plinary nature of the subject. The paper results understand that the Brazilian energy basis is not sustainable and that the decision-makers and the society shall implement an energy transition to alternative renewable energy sources and also need public policies to diminish consumption. There must not be one single choice of source, but decide based on deter mining the impacts from renewables and on evaluating its pros and cos.]]></p></abstract>
