Esto ha generando un impacto en el sistema de seguridad social por su alta implicación en costos de tratamientos, incapacidades y ausentismo laboral. Debido a su comportamiento cíclico, cerca del 90 % de los diagnósticos son clasificados como inespecíficos; sin embargo no se cuenta con instrumentos evaluativos que permitan realizar diagnósticos diferenciales e identificar las deficiencias estructurales y funcionales.  Objetivo: Diseñar un instrumento que permita identificar las deficiencias estructurales y funcionales en inestabilidades segmentales de la columna lumbar.  Materiales y Métodos: Este estudio fue desarrollado mediantes cinco fases: revisión de la literatura, propuesta de la herramienta de examinación, consenso de expertos, prueba piloto y aplicación a 17 trabajadores del sector de servicios generales.  Resultados: El instrumento contó con un componente subjetivo y uno objetivo. Los resultados de las pruebas de estabilidad postero-anterior determinaron que el 29 % de los trabajadores presentaron deficiencias tanto funcionales como estructurales; la prueba de estabilidad en prono fue positiva en el 18 % de los casos, aunque fueron asintomáticos en el componente subjetivo.  Conclusiones: Desde la ergonomía es importante contemplar evaluaciones del trabajador, que integren la valoración de deficiencias funcionales y estructurales para fines preventivos del desorden musculosqueletico y rehabilitación funcional laboral.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction: In the literature there are studies that determine that 70 to 80 % of the adult population at least once in their life has presented nonspecific lumbar pain, generating an impact on the social security system due to its high involvement in treatment costs, disabilities and labor absenteeism. Due to their cyclical behavior, about 90 % of the diagnoses are classified as nonspecific. However, there are no evaluative instruments that allow differential diagnoses and identify structural and functional deficiencies. The objective is to design an instrument that identifies structural and functional deficiencies in segmental instabilities of the lumbar spine.  Materials and Methods: This study was developed through five phases: literature review, a proposal of the examination tool, consensus of experts, pilot test and application to 17 workers in the general services sector.  Results: The instrument had a subjective and an objective component. The results of the postero-anterior stability tests determined that 29 % of the workers presented functional and structural deficiencies; the prone stability test was positive in 18 % of the cases, although they were asymptomatic in the subjective component.  Conclusions: In ergonomics, it is important to consider worker evaluations that integrate the assessment of functional and structural deficiencies for preventive purposes of musculoskeletal disorders and functional rehabilitation.]]></p></abstract>

Devido a seu comportamento cíclico, quase o 90% dos diagnósticos são classificados como inespecíficos; no entanto, não se conta com instrumentos avaliativos que permitam realizar diagnósticos diferenciais e identificar as deficiências estruturais e funcionais. O objetivo é desenhar um instrumento que permita identificar as deficiências estruturais e funcionais em estabilidades segmentais da coluna lombar.  Materiais e métodos: Este estudo foi desenvolvido mediante cinco fases: revisão da literatura, proposta da ferramenta de examinação, consenso de expertos, prova piloto e aplicação a 17 trabalhadores do setor de serviços gerais.  Resultados: O instrumento contou com um componente subjetivo e um objetivo. Os resultados das provas de estabilidade posteroanterior determinaram que o 29% dos trabalhadores apresentaram deficiências tanto funcionais quanto estruturais; a prova de estabilidade em prono foi positiva no 18% dos casos, ainda que foram assintomáticos no componente subjetivo.  Conclusões: Desde a ergonomia é importante contemplar avaliações do trabalhador, que integrem a valoração de deficiências funcionais e estruturais para fins preventivos da desordem musculoesquelética e reabilitação funcional do trabalho.]]></p></abstract>
