Esto se debe a que en el 2023 se tenían 230 000 hectáreas sembradas, lo que representa el 20 % de la superficie del país, con un impacto ambiental no cuantificado en términos penales. Este requiere de acciones de entidades estatales, así como de cooperación internacional, para adaptar estrategias y poder judicializar estos delitos que afectan a generaciones de personas, con nuevas técnicas forenses. En el presente trabajo se aplicó una nueva metodología mediante el seguimiento de la actividad metabólica microbiana a lo largo del tiempo, usando EcoPlatos. Esta técnica novedosa para el país fue el resultado de la sinergia entre la Universidad de La Salle (Bogotá) y su aliada lasallista Lewis University, la cual se aplicó a tres muestras de suelo de reservas, parques industriales y campos agrícolas con más de quince años de aplicación del químico, bajo técnicas estándar. Se analizó el crecimiento celular usando EcoPlatos, lo que permitió establecer la utilización de sustratos de carbono por los microorganismos del suelo y evidenciar la pérdida definitiva de especies clave para las cadenas tróficas. Con esta prueba se podría tipificar el ecocidio, ya que es innegable lo que se ocasiona en la base del bioma y que se extiende a las otras especies en la cadena.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Transnational organised crime has been harmful for the Colombian territory, especially that associated with coca production in the last decade, which has generated economic and social impacts due to an increase of the conflict and insecurity in the areas of influence of the crop. This is due to the fact that in 2023, 230,000 hectares were sown, representing 20 % of the country&#8217;s surface area, with an environmental impact that has not been quantified in criminal terms. This requires actions by state entities, as well as international cooperation, in order to adapt strategies and be able to prosecute these crimes that affectgenerations of people, with new forensic techniques. In the present work, a new methodology was applied by monitoring microbial metabolic activity over time, using EcoPlatos. This novel technique for the country was the result of the synergy between the Universidad de La Salle (Bogotá) and its Lasallian ally Lewis University, and was applied to three soil samples from reserves, industrial parks and agricultural fields with more than fifteen years of application of the chemical, under standard techniques. Cell growth was analysed using EcoPlatos, which made it possible to establish the utilisation of carbon substrates by soil micro-organisms and to demonstrate the definitive loss of key species for the food chains. With this evidence, ecocide could be typified, as what is caused at the base of the biome is undeniable and extends to the other species in the chain.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O crime organizado transnacional tem causado prejuízos significativos ao território colombiano, especialmente no que se refere à produção de coca na última década. Essa atividade gerou impactos econômicos e sociais expressivos, em decorrência do aumento do conflito e da insegurança nas áreas influenciadas por esse cultivo. Em 2023, foram registrados 230 mil hectares cultivados com coca, o que corresponde a 20 % da superfície do país, gerando um impacto ambiental ainda não quantificado sob a perspectiva penal. Isso requer ações de entidades estatais, bem como cooperação internacional, para adaptar estratégias e poder processar esses crimes que afetam gerações de pessoas, com novas técnicas forenses. No presente trabalho, uma nova metodologia foi aplicada por meio do monitoramento da atividade metabólica microbiana ao longo do tempo, utilizando o EcoPlatos. Essa nova técnica para o país foi o resultado da sinergia entre a Universidade de La Salle (Bogotá) e a Universidade Lewis, sua aliada lassalista, cuja metodologia foi aplicada a três amostras de solo de reservas, parques industriais e campos agrícolas com mais de 15 anos de aplicação da substância química, sob técnicas-padrão. O crescimento celular foi analisado por meio do EcoPlatos, o que possibilitou estabelecer a utilização de substratos de carbono pelos microrganismos do solo e demonstrar a perda definitiva de espécies-chave para as cadeias alimentares. Com essas evidências, o ecocídio pode ser tipificado, pois é inegável o que é causado na base do bioma e que se estende às outras espécies da cadeia.]]></p></abstract>
