El artículo inicia explorando en detalle qué implica la competencia digital y cómo se ha convertido en una destreza crucial en un mundo cada vez más digitalizado. Posteriormente, se examina la profunda transformación de la sociedad impulsada por la IA, que ha reconfigurado la economía, la educación y la vida cotidiana, creando nuevas oportunidades y desafíos. También se ahonda en la convergencia entre competencia digital e inteligencia artificial, y se resalta cómo estas dos áreas se influyen mutuamente, generando sinergias y oportunidades para el progreso tecnológico y el desarrollo humano. Igualmente, se destaca la competencia digital como habilidad para el desarrollo humano, y se analiza cómo la adquisición de habilidades digitales puede impulsar el acceso a oportunidades, la inclusión y la mejora de la calidad de vida. Para finalizar, se presentan estrategias para fomentar la competencia digital y el desarrollo humano en la era de la IA, y se enfatiza la importancia de la educación inclusiva, el aprendizaje continuo, el acceso universal a la tecnología, las habilidades socioemocionales, la alfabetización ética y la colaboración intersectorial.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital competence emerges as an essential pillar for human development. The article begins by exploring in detail what digital competence entails and how it has become a crucial skill in an increasingly digitized world. It then examines the profound transformation of society driven by AI, which has reshaped the economy, education and everyday life, creating new opportunities and challenges. It also delves into the convergence between digital competence and artificial intelligence, and highlights how these two areas influence each other, generating synergies and opportunities for technological progress and human development. Furthermore, it also highlights digital competence as a skill for human development and analyzes how the acquisition of digital skills can boost access to opportunities, inclusion and improved quality of life. Finally, strategies to foster digital competence and human development in the AI era are presented, and the importance of inclusive education, continuous learning, universal access to technology, socioemotional skills, ethical literacy, and cross-sector collaboration is emphasized.]]></p></abstract>

O artigo começa por explorar em pormenor o que implica a competência digital e como esta se tornou uma competência crucial num mundo cada vez mais digitalizado. Em seguida, examina a profunda transformação da sociedade impulsionada pela IA, que remodelou a economia, a educação e a vida quotidiana, criando oportunidades e desafios. Aprofunda também a convergência entre a competência digital e a inteligência artificial e destaca como estes dois domínios se influenciam mutuamente, gerando sinergias e oportunidades para o progresso tecnológico e o desenvolvimento humano. Destaca ainda a competência digital como uma aptidão para o desenvolvimento humano e discute o modo como a aquisição de competências digitais pode impulsionar o acesso a oportunidades, a inclusão e a melhoria da qualidade de vida.
