<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1794-99982023000200121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1794-99982023000200121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1794-99982023000200121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Introducción: un aspecto importante dentro de la psicología aplicada son los nuevos métodos de evaluación y tratamiento del Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH) que usan las nuevas tecnologías como la realidad virtual (RV), la realidad aumentada (RA), los juegos serios (SG) y videojuegos. Método: el presente estudio es una revisión sistemática de la literatura orientada a analizar las investigaciones sobre la eficacia de la RV para evaluar y/o intervenir a niños y adolescentes con TDAH en los últimos 10 años. Al seguir el protocolo Prisma, la muestra final estuvo compuesta por 17 estudios empíricos publicados en Pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct, Web of Science, Redalyc y Oxford University. Resultados: los estudios que emplearon la RV como método de evaluación concluyeron que esta es tan efectiva como las herramientas utilizadas para evaluar de manera tradicional. Respecto a los resultados de las intervenciones con RV, estos se caracterizaron por presentar una mejoría en el funcionamiento cognitivo de los participantes a los cuales se les hizo el tratamiento. Conclusión: la RV ha demostrado ser una alternativa novedosa y eficaz para la evaluación y el tratamiento del TDAH en niños y adolescentes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Introduction: An important aspect within applied psychology are the new methods of evaluation and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) using new technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (RA), games serious (SG), and video games. Method: This study is a systematic review of the literature aimed at analyzing the research on the effectiveness of VR to evaluate and/or intervene in children and adolescents with ADHD in the last 10 years. By following the Prisma protocol, the final sample consisted of 17 empirical studies published in Pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct, Web of Science, Redalyc, and Oxford University. Results: The studies that used VR as an evaluation method concluded that it is as effective as the tools used to evaluate traditionally. Regarding the results of the VR interventions, these were characterized by presenting an improvement in the cognitive functioning of the participants who underwent the treatment. Conclusion: VR has proven to be a novel and effective alternative for the evaluation and treatment of ADHD in children and adolescents.]]></p></abstract>
