Este trabajo presenta una propuesta de juego digital educativo para la enseñanza de inglés como lengua extranjera para hablantes nativos de portugués. A partir de la revisión de la literatura sobre el tema, se encontró que, para el desarrollo de este tipo de juegos, en general hay una falta de un enfoque pedagógico en la elaboración de materiales y herramientas diseñadas para el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras. Para esta investigación se eligió el enfoque pedagógico del pensamiento complejo para desarrollar un juego tipo RPG que integra como interlocutor un chatbot que contribuye en la tarea de adquirir conocimientos de inglés, manteniendo la motivación de los estudiantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT. This paper presents a proposal for an educational digital game for teaching English as a foreign language to native Portuguese speakers. The literature review on the subject showed a general lack of a pedagogical approach to developing materials and tools designed for foreign language learning using this type of game. Complex thinking was chosen for this research's pedagogical approach to developing an RPG-type game. The game integrates a chatbot as an interlocutor, contributing to attaining English language skills and maintaining the students' motivation.]]></p></abstract>
