For this reason and for be safe for consumers, organic acids have been proposed as an alternative to the replacement of antibiotics growth promoters. However, its experimental use in the chicken's diet shows diverse and contradictory results, coming from differences in factors related with: type and dose of the organic acid used, diet composition and the breeding environment in which the experiments are carried out. The aim of this review is to present an analysis of the different experimental results in the use of organic acids in relation to the intestinal physiology, productive and hematological parameters in the broiler chicken.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El uso de ácidos orgánicos en la alimentación de las aves, contribuye al mantenimiento de la integridad y estabilidad de la biota intestinal; además, dificulta la proliferación de microorganismos patógenos, ayuda a prevenir la aparición de enfermedades y a mejorar el rendimiento productivo. Por este motivo y por ser seguros para los consumidores, los ácidos orgánicos se han planteado como una alternativa al reemplazo de los antibióticos promotores de crecimiento. Sin embargo, existen factores como: el tipo y la dosis del ácido orgánico, la composición de la dieta y las condiciones ambientales de cría en las que se realizan los ensayos que hacen que los resultados experimentales respecto a estos aditivos sean diversos y contradictorios. El objetivo de esta revisión es presentar un análisis de los diferentes resultados experimentales al incluir ácidos orgánicos en la dieta del pollo de engorde, con respecto a la fisiología intestinal, los parámetros productivos y hematológicos.]]></p></abstract>

Razão pela qual, além de serem seguros para o consumidor, os ácidos orgânicos tem-se proposto como alternativa na substituição dos antibióticos promotores de crescimento. No entanto, existem fatores como: o tipo e a dose do ácido orgânico, a composição da ração e as condições ambientais de cria nas quais se desenvolvem as pesquisas, que tornam os resultados experimentais diversos e as vezes contraditórios.
