Las formas de movilidad representan una dinámica de gran interés en las grandes ciudades ya que se deben buscar estrategias que favorezcan las comunidades a través de mejores ofertas de transporte, reducción de tiempos de desplazamiento y disminución de la contaminación.  Por lo anterior, el objetivo de este artículo es examinar la evolución y tendencias investigativas en el área de movilidad sostenible a través de un análisis bibliométrico.  Materiales y métodos. Se desarrolla en dos fases, la primera contempla la selección de la base de datos y la elaboración de la ecuación búsqueda y la segunda corresponde al cálculo de indicadores bibliométricos de cantidad, calidad y tendencias temáticas.  Entre los Resultados se observa un incremento en el número de publicaciones en el tema con un incremento del 20% de la producción anual en los últimos años, principalmente en investigaciones provenientes de Italia, España, Reino Unido, Australia y Alemania.  Se Concluye  que las temáticas que se han venido consolidando en el área de conocimiento son: planificación urbana, transporte público y fortalecimiento del transporte masivo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction. Forms of mobility represent a dynamic of great interest in large cities, since strategies that benefit communities should be sought through better transport offers, reduced travel times and less pollution.  Therefore, the aim of this article  is to examine research evolution and trends on sustainable mobility through a bibliometric analysis.  Materials and methods. The study is developed in two phases, the first one includes the selection of the database and the search equation definition. The second one corresponds to the calculation of bibliometric indicators of quantity, quality and thematic trends.  The Results show an intensification in the number of publications on the subj ect with an increase of 20% in annual production in recent years, mainly in research from Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany.  It is Concluded  that the topics that have been consolidating in the field of knowledge are: urban planning, public transportation and strengthening of mass transportation.]]></p></abstract>
