Para la evaluación se tomaron como muestra empresas que cuentan con certificación activa y con mínimo dos años de antigüedad; se les aplicó un cuestionario que recopiló información relacionada con el desempeño de las organizaciones en diversos aspectos. Finalmente, por medio de la aplicación de técnicas de análisis estadístico se evaluó la incidencia de la certificación en los resultados de las empresas. El estudio permitió concluir que los esfuerzos de las empresas por lograr la certificación de calidad ISO 9001 provocan impactos positivos en su desempeño, específicamente en aspectos como mejoramiento de procesos, planificación y diseño de productos, y satisfacción del cliente. La investigación pretende ayudar a los practicantes de la gestión de la calidad a comprender mejor las posibles consecuencias de la implantación y certificación de un sistema de gestión de calidad bajo la norma ISO 9001.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This research is focused on establishing the impact generated by the implementation and certification of ISO 9001 in some companies in the department of Boyaca - Colombia. For evaluating a representative sample of those with active certification and at least two years old is taken; they were given a form that collects information related to the performance of organizations in various aspects. Finally, by applying statistical analysis techniques certification incidence was assessed. We concluded that the efforts of companies to achieve certification of ISO 9001 cause a positive impact on performance, specifically in areas such as process improvement, product planning and design, and customer satisfaction. The research aims to help practitioners of quality management to understand more the possible consequences of the implementation and certification of a quality management system under ISO 9001.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: Esta pesquisa está focada em estabelecer o impacto gerado pela implementação e certificação da norma ISO 9001 em algumas empresas do departamento de Boyacá Colômbia. Para a avaliação, foram tomadas como amostra empresas com certificação ativa e pelo menos dois anos de antiguidade; foi aplicado um questionário que coletou informações relacionadas com o desempenho das organizações em vários aspectos. Finalmente, por meio da aplicação de técnicas de análise estatística, foi avaliada aa incidência de certifi cação nos resultados das empresas. O estudo permitiu concluir que os esforços das empresas para obter a certifi cação da ISO 9001 provocam impactos positivos em seu desempenho, especialmente em áreas como a melhoria de processos, planejamento e desenho de produto, e satisfação do cliente.
