Una de estas distorsiones es la dispersión cromática que provoca el retardo o ensanchamiento espectral de los pulsos ópticos a medida que se propagan por la fibra, ocasionando un solapamiento con sus adyacentes, por lo cual es necesaria la utilización de técnicas de compensación. El presente artículo analiza las técnicas de compensación ópticas de dispersión cromática en una red DWDM a 10 Gbps, con el fin de proponer la mejor configuración para mitigarla y así consolidar un conocimiento que puede ayudar a los operadores a definir soluciones que den soporte a nuevas exigencias.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: During the transport of information through an optical fiber-based network, various signal distortions can occur. One of these distortions is the chromatic dispersion which generates delays or spectral broadening of the optical pulses as they propagate through the fiber causing an overlap with their adjacent pulses, whereby the use of compensation techniques is necessary. This article analyzes the optical compensation techniques of chromatic dispersion in a DWDM network for 10 Gbps, in order to propose the best configuration for redressal and to consolidate knowledge that can help operators to define solutions to support new requirements.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: No transporte da informação através de uma rede baseada em fibra óptica apresentam-se diversas distorções do sinal. Uma destas distorções é a dispersão cromática, a qual provoca o retardo ou alargamento espectral dos pulsos ópticos durante a sua propagação pela fibra. A dispersão cromática gera uma sobreposição entre pulsos adjacentes, assim, se faz necessária a utilização de técnicas de compensação. Este artigo analisa as técnicas de compensação ópticas de dispersão cromática numa rede DWDM a 10 Gbps, com o objetivo de propor a melhor configuração para a sua mitigação. Além disso, o artigo consolida o conhecimento para ajudar aos operadores na definição de soluções que suportem as novas exigências.]]></p></abstract>
