(2011), su consistencia interna en población de adolescentes de Argentina y su validez de criterio con una medida de Conducta Prosocial. Para tal efecto, se conformaron dos muestras: una de 411 adolescentes de entre 12 y 17 años (M= 14.43 DS= 1.21; 53% mujeres); y la otra de 633 adolescentes de entre 11 y 17 años (M= 13.15 DS= 1.14; 63.3% mujeres), residentes en Argentina. Se realizaron análisis factorial exploratorio, análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC), índice alfa de Cronbach y de Spearman-Brown, y correlaciones de Pearson. Se obtuvo un instrumento con 18 ítems y 6 dimensiones. Los 6 factores explicaron el 63.11% de la variancia. Según los resultados del AFC, el ajuste del modelo fue adecuado y las dimensiones fueron: prosocialidad, compromiso social, responsabilidad y honestidad, integridad, reconocimiento social y hedonismo. Las mismas se agruparon en valores sociales y personales, por un lado, y valores individualistas, por otro. La consistencia interna de las subescalas fue satisfactoria, y se obtuvo además buena validez de criterio con una medida de conducta prosocial.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present study had as purposes: To evaluate the construct validity of the Scale of Values &#8203;&#8203;for Positive Adolescent Development by Antolín Suárez et al. (2011), to evaluate the internal consistency of the instrument in the adolescent population of Argentina and to evaluate the validity of criteria with a Prosocial Behavior Scale. Two samples were formed: sample 1, 411 male and female adolescents between 12 and 17 years old (M= 14.43 SD= 1.21; 53% women); sample 2, 633 male and female adolescents between 11 and 17 years old (M= 13.15 SD= 1.14; 63.3% women), residing in Argentina. The following analyzes were performed: exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach's and Spearman-Brown's alpha index, Pearson's correlations. An instrument with 18 items and 6 dimensions was obtanined. The 6 factors explained 63.11% of the variance. In the CFA, the fit of the model was adequate. The dimensions were the following: prosociality, social commitment, responsibility and honesty, integrity, social recognition, hedonism. They were grouped into social and personal values on the one hand and individual values on the other. The internal consistency of the subscales was satisfactory. Good criterion validity was also obtained with a measure of prosocial behavior.]]></p></abstract>
