Este artículo de revisión pretende ubicar internacionalmente la educación en el posconflicto en Colombia, en relación con las experiencias de otros países que han vivido procesos semejantes.  Metodología.  Se hizo un rastreo por la bibliografía especializada que relaciona investigaciones sobre el tema.  Resultados.  Se encontró que en los países más cercanos a la experiencia colombiana sucede algo semejante a lo que pasa en Colombia: mientras la educación conserve parámetros violentos, autoritarios, con modelos pedagógicos basados en la memoria, no es posible aclimatar una cultura de paz.  Conclusión.  Se hace necesario empoderar una educación para la ciudadanía que responda a tres criterios para un verdadero restablecimiento de la paz: la cohesión social, la participación ciudadana y la memoria histórica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Objective.  This review article aims to place internationally the post-conflict education in Colombia in relation to the experiences of other countries that have experienced similar processes.  Methodology.  A search was made of the specialized bibliography that is directly related to research on the topic.  Results.  It was found that in the countries with similar post-agreement situations, they go through something similar to what happens in Colombia: as long as education maintains violent authoritarian parameters with pedagogical models based on memory, it is not possible to acclimate a culture of peace.  Conclusion.  It is necessary to empower an education for citizenship that meets three criteria in order to have a true restoration of peace: social cohesion, citizen participation and historical memory.]]></p></abstract>
