Su tratamiento en estadios metastásicos ha tenido un avance significativo gracias al advenimiento de terapias sistêmicas, sin embargo, no se conoce del todo la utilidad clínica de este tipo de terapias en la enfermedad localizada.  Método: Se realizó una revisión de alcance para definir la eficacia oncológica de la terapia adyuvante (inmunoterapia o inhibidores de la tirosina cinasa) en pacientes con CR de células claras localizado con riesgo intermedio o alto de recurrencia comparada con la terapia estándar.  Resultados: Se identificaron 34 artículos, de los cuales 12 se incluyeron para análisis, todos ellos estudios clínicos aleatorizados.  Conclusiones: Los datos obtenidos demuestran que en la actualidad no hay evidencia con alto nivel de certeza sobre la superioridad de las estrategias de adyuvancia en el largo plazo para todos los contextos clínicos de pacientes con CR de células claras localizado respecto al estándar de tratamiento. Sin embargo los resultados obtenidos con pembrolizumab en pacientes con CR localizado de alto riesgo en el mediano plazo son promisorios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Objective: Renal cancer (RC) is one of the genitourinary tumors with the highest incidence and prevalence worldwide. The treatment of metastatic stages has seen significant advancements due to the advent of systemic therapies. However, the clinical utility of such therapies in localized disease is not well known.  Method: A scoping review was conducted to define the oncological efficacy of adjuvant therapy (immunotherapy or tyrosine kinase inhibitors) in patients with localized clear cell RC with intermediate or high risk of recurrence compared to standard therapy.  Results: A total of 34 articles were identified, of which 12 were included for analysis, all of them randomized clinical trials.  Conclusions: Currently, there is no high-certainty evidence regarding the superiority of adjuvant strategies in the long term for all patients with localized clear cell RCC compared to the standard of care. However, the results obtained in high-risk RC patients with pembrolizumab in medium-term follow-up are promising.]]></p></abstract>
