<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2145-94442025000100104&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2145-94442025000100104&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2145-94442025000100104&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este artículo explorará y dotará de evidencias sobre la relación existente entre las criptomonedas y las redes sociales gracias a la utilización de herramientas digitales de escucha social o social listening, explorando datos recuperados desde las redes sociales como metodología de análisis de sentimiento, que permite poner en el foco la urgente necesidad de dotar de unos niveles adecuados de educación financiera en el ámbito de la economía digital con el objetivo de que el usuario o inversor de criptomonedas conozca, más aún entre la población joven, los riesgos existentes asociados a las criptomonedas, no debiéndose subestimar la influencia que las redes sociales han tenido, y siguen teniendo, en la percepción y adopción de las monedas digitales, e incluso en su popularidad. Como consecuencia de ello, y de la posterior popularización de las criptomonedas en las plataformas de las redes sociales, el alcance e influencia de estas habría determinado la conciencia lingüística que el público tiene de estos activos digitales, lo que provoca el dominio de la competencia comunicativa e influye en el sentimiento de usuarios de redes sociales e internautas han generado hacia las mismas. De hecho, las plataformas de las redes sociales se han convertido en un poderoso catalizador para transmitir información, noticias y opiniones sobre las criptomonedas, sirviendo como foros digitales no regulados en los que los usuarios comparten opiniones, análisis y predicciones que plantearían un dilema en cuanto a discernir qué información sería fiable, algo que unido a la inexistencia de una supervisión regulada de las criptomonedas, exigiría dotar a los usuarios de los conocimientos necesarios en aras a mitigar riesgos y fomentar la toma de decisiones informadas. El objetivo de este artículo es ofrecer evidencias de cómo las redes sociales sirven como un canal indispensable en el fenómeno de las criptomonedas y su percepción pública, lo que haría necesario evaluar el papel que una educación financiera precisa y accesible ha de tener con el claro fin de reducir los riesgos inherentes a las monedas digitales.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article will explore and provide evidence on the relationship between cryptocurrencies and social networks through the use of digital social listening tools, exploring data retrieved from social networks as a sentiment analysis methodology that allows us to focus on the urgent need to provide adequate levels of financial education in the digital economy so that the cryptocurrency user or investor is aware of the existing risks associated with cryptocurrencies, especially among young people, of the risks associated with cryptocurrencies, and we should not underestimate the influence that social networks have had, and continue to have, on the perception and adoption of digital currencies, and even on their popularity. As a consequence of this, and the subsequent popularization of cryptocurrencies on social media platforms, the reach and influence of cryptocurrencies would have determined the public's perceived linguistic awareness of these digital assets, dominating the communicative competence and thus influencing the sentiment that social media users and internet users have generated towards them. Social media platforms have become a powerful catalyst for the transmission of information, news, and opinions about cryptocurrencies, serving as unregulated digital forums where users share opinions, analyses, and predictions. This would pose a dilemma in terms of determining what information is reliable, which, coupled with the lack of regulated oversight of cryptocurrencies, would require providing users with the necessary knowledge to mitigate risks and promote informed decision-making. This article aims to provide evidence of how social networks act as an indispensable channel in the cryptocurrency phenomenon and its public perception, which would make it necessary to evaluate the role that accurate and accessible financial education has to play, with the clear aim of reducing the risks inherent to digital currencies, for while social media has opened a window on the world, it has also exposed us to variations in our linguistic awareness both right and wrong, which can confuse us and influence our use of language.]]></p></abstract>
