Assim, o presente artigo analisou as pesquisas que abordam a EAC, presentes no Encontro Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental [EPEA], no período 2001 a 2019, atentando para as suas potencialidades enquanto meio de comunicação científica, porquanto permite o debate acerca da educação ambiental e suas interfaces na contemporaneidade. A metodologia utilizada baseou-se em uma pesquisa do estado da arte, localizando 898 trabalhos nos anais do EPEA. Destes, foram analisados 41 trabalhos que apresentavam no título o termo: educação ambiental crítica. Como forma de análise, foram criados descritores e categorias, sendo adotada a análise textual discursiva para interpretar os dados. Os anos de 2017 e 2015 apresentaram maior publicação de trabalhos envolvendo a EAC. Pode-se observar que a EAC permite um novo olhar nas questões voltadas a natureza e a sociedade, bem como nas situações emergentes na contemporaneidade, ao refletir na qualidade de vida e nas ações relacionadas a natureza e a sociedade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La educación ambiental crítica [EAC] se presenta como una importante forma de intervención social, ya que ayuda en la promoción y comprensión de los problemas socioambientales en sus múltiples dimensiones. Así, en este artículo se analizaron las investigaciones que abordan la EAC, presentadas en el Encuentro Investigación en Educación Ambiental [EIEA], en el periodo entre 2001 y 2019, teniendo en cuenta sus potencialidades como medio de comunicación científica, pues permite el debate acerca de la educación ambiental y sus conexiones en la contemporaneidad. La metodología usada se basó en una investigación de estado del arte. Se encontraron 898 trabajos en los archivos del EIEA. De estos, se analizaron 41 trabajos que presentaban en el título el término educación ambiental crítica. Para el análisis, se crearon descriptores y categorías. Se adoptó el análisis textual discursivo para interpretar los datos. En 2017 y en 2015 se presentó la mayor cantidad de publicaciones de trabajos referentes a la EAC. Se observa que la EAC permite una nueva mirada sobre los asuntos relacionados con la naturaleza y la sociedad, así como sobre las situaciones emergentes en la contemporaneidad, al reflexionar sobre la calidad de vida y las acciones relativas a la naturaleza y a la sociedad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Critical environmental education [CEE] is presented as an important form of social intervention, since it helps in the promotion and understanding of socio-environmental problems in their multiple dimensions. Thus, in this article, the research on CEE, presented at the Research Meeting on Environmental Education [RMEE], in the time period between 2001 and 2019, was analyzed, taking into account its possibilities as a means of scientific communication, since it allows the debate about environmental education and its connections in the contemporary world. The methodology was based on a state-of-the-art research. 898 works were found in the archives of the RMEE. Forty-one papers with the term critical environmental education in their title were analyzed. For the analysis, descriptors and categories were created. Discursive textual analysis was adopted to interpret the data. In 2017 and 2015, there was the largest number of publications of works related to CEE. It is observed that CEE enables a new perspective on issues related to nature and society, as well as on emerging situations in the contemporary world, through the reflection on the quality of life and actions related to nature and society.]]></p></abstract>
