Fundamentalmente, los participantes, estudiantes de grado décimo y undécimo de una institución pública, a través de la Cátedra de la Paz sitúan sus experiencias dentro del marco de la construcción de memoria, como pretexto que contribuye a sanar heridas sociales. Esta investigación de corte cualitativo-etnográfico determinó que la práctica de la introspección educativa favorece los procesos de cultura de paz, como un ejercicio ejemplarizante y de construcción de nuevos espacios que promueven el buen trato y la ayuda a los demás. Así pues, profundizar en estas narrativas, abre nuevas posibilidades en ambientes escolares en donde haya estudiantes que quieran reflexionar y dialogar sobre la cultura de paz. Finalmente, este ha sido un ejercicio que ayuda a construir una identidad social positiva, permitiendo a los jóvenes contribuir a la transformación social al convertirse en agentes de cambio en sus entornos inmediatos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents a reflection on life narratives in educational contexts under circumstances of vulnerability. The participants were tenth and eleventh-grade students from a public school in Colombia. These students were all participants in the Cátedra de la Paz (Teaching for Peace), a Colombian academic program created to teach citizenship competences to students in order to promote a culture of peace through democratic coexistence. Students were asked to situate their experiences within the framework of the constructions of memory as an activity directed to heal social wounds. This qualitative-ethnographic research approach determined that the practice of educational introspection favors the processes of a culture of peace, both as an exemplary exercise and in the construction of new spaces that promote good treatment and help to others. Thus, delving into these narratives opens new possibilities in school environments where there are students who want to reflect and dialogue about the culture of peace. Finally, this has been an exercise that helps to build a positive social identity, allowing young people to contribute to social transformation by becoming agents of change in their immediate environments.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo apresenta uma reflexão sobre as narrativas de vida em contextos educacionais em circunstâncias de vulnerabilidade. Principalmente, os participantes, alunos do décimo e décimo primeiro ano de uma instituição pública, por meio da Cátedra da Paz, situam suas experiências no âmbito da construção da memória, como um pretexto que contribui para curar feridas sociais. Esta pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa-etnográfica, determinou que a prática da introspecção educacional favorece os processos de cultura de paz, como um exercício exemplar e de construção de novos espaços que promovem o tratamento adequado e a assistência aos outros. Assim, aprofundar essas narrativas abre novas possibilidades em ambientes escolares onde existem alunos que desejam refletir e dialogar sobre a cultura de paz.
