Dentre os instrumentos que mensuram a autoeficácia, destaca-se a Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale. Assim, esta revisão sistemática teve como objetivo identificar na literatura os estudos que utilizaram a Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale como ferramenta para avaliação da autoeficácia.  Materiais e Métodos  A busca de artigos foi realizada nas bases de dados Science Direct, PubMed, BIREME, LILACS, SCIELO e Google Acadêmico, utilizando como usando o descritor Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale. Os artigos foram pesquisados manualmente, considerando como critérios de inclusão publicações entre os anos de 2001 e 2017; escritas nos idiomas português, espanhol e inglês; com acesso online do texto completo e estudos que utilizaram a escala como ferramenta para avaliar a autoeficácia.  Resultados  Foram encontradas 36 publicações nas bases de dados pesquisadas. Dessas, 15 publicações foram selecionadas conforme critérios de inclusão para esta revisão.  Discussão  Observa-se a utilização do instrumento em diferentes contextos, tais como investigar a prevalência de dor; avaliar e implementar programas de autogestão e autogerenciamento da DC; investigar comportamentos de autocuidado, entre outros. É uma escala utilizada em diversas doenças crônicas, traduzida para diferentes idiomas e culturas, fazendo-se importante nos cuidados em saúde.  Conclusões  Os estudos apontam que a escala é um instrumento importante e confiável para avaliar a autoeficácia no gerenciamento de diferentes doenças crônicas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction  Self-efficacy is defined as the individual's belief in their ability to control adverse events that may influence their life, and has been investigated in chronic disease management programs. Among the instruments that measure self-efficacy, the Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale stands out. Thus, this systematic review aimed to identify in the literature the studies that used the Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale as a tool for self-efficacy evaluation.  Materials and Methods  The search for articles was carried out in the databases Science Direct, PubMed, BIREME, LILACS, SCIELO and Google Scholar using as the descriptor Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale. The articles were manually searched, considering as inclusion criteria publications between the years 2001 and 2017; written in Portuguese, Spanish and English; with online access to the full text and studies that used the scale as a tool to assess self-efficacy.  Results  36 publications were found in the databases searched. Of these, 15 publications were selected according to inclusion criteria for this review.  Discussion  It is observed the use of the instrument in different contexts, such as investigating the prevalence of pain; evaluate and implement programs of self-management and self-management of CD; investigate self-care behaviors, among others. It is a scale used in various chronic diseases, translated into different languages and cultures, making it important in health care.  Conclusions  The studies indicate that the scale is an important and reliable instrument to evaluate the self-efficacy in the management of different chronic diseases.]]></p></abstract>

Esta revisión sistemática tuvo como objeto identificar en la literatura los estudios que utilizaron la Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale como herramienta para evaluar la autoeficacia.  Materiales y Métodos  La búsqueda de artículos se realizó en las bases de datos Science Direct, PubMed, BIREME, LILACS, SCIELO y Google Académico, utilizando como descriptor la Self-Efficacyfor Managing Chronic Disease 6Item Scale. Los artículos fueron evaluados manualmente, considerando como criterios de inclusión que se refiriesen a publicaciones realizadas entre los años 2001 a 2017, escritas en los idiomas portugués, español e inglés; con acceso online del texto completo y estudios que utilizaron la escala como herramienta para evaluar la autoeficacia Resultados: Se encontraron 36 publicaciones en las bases de datos analizadas, de las cuales, 15 publicaciones fueron seleccionadas según los criterios de inclusión para esta revisión.  Discusión  Se observa el uso del instrumento en diferentes contextos, tales como investigar la prevalencia del dolor; evaluar e implementar programas de autogestión y automanejo de la EC; investigar comportamiento de cuidado, entre otros. Esta es una escala que se utiliza para diversas enfermedades crónicas, traducida a diferentes idiomas y culturas, y que gana importancia en lo que respecta a los cuidados de salud.  Conclusiones  Los estudios señalan que la escala es un instrumento importante y confiable para evaluar la autoeficacia en el manejo de diferentes enfermedades crónicas.]]></p></abstract>
