Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that directly impacts motor processes, including phonation.  Objective.  To analyze acoustic, perceptual, and self-assessment vocal parameters in PD patients according to the stage of disease progression.  Method.  An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 42 subjects classified according to the Hoehn and Yahr scale. Acoustic parameters (fundamental frequency, formants, spectral slope) and the degree of dysphonia (Yanagihara scale) were assessed using Praat software and evaluated by an expert committee. Perceptual characteristics (GRBAS scale) and self-perceived voice handicap (VHI-30 questionnaire) were also evaluated.  Results.  An average F0 of 163 Hz was observed in men and 172 Hz in women, with a reduction in F1 in both sexes, a reduction in F2 in women, a reduction in F3 in men, and an increase in F4 in both. The spectral slope was -3.54 in men and -3.63 in women. Eighty-three percent of participants were classified as Yanagihara grades 1 and 2, and 34 reported mild vocal impairment. Alterations in acoustic parameters and vocal quality were observed in individuals with Parkinson's disease at different stages of the disease; however, these differences were not statistically significant.  Conclusion.  Further research in this area should include a larger sample size that includes greater representation of subjects in the early and advanced stages of the disease.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Introducción.  La enfermedad de Parkinson (EP) es un trastorno neurodegenerativo progresivo que impacta directamente en los procesos motores, incluyendo la fonación.  Objetivo.  Analizar los parámetros acústicos, perceptuales y de autoevaluación vocal en pacientes con EP según la etapa de progresión de la enfermedad.  Método.  Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, transversal con una muestra de conveniencia no probabilística de 42 sujetos clasificados según la escala de Hoehn y Yahr. Los parámetros acústicos (frecuencia fundamental, formantes, pendiente espectral) y el grado de disfonía (escala de Yanagihara) se evaluaron mediante el software Praat y fueron valorados por un comité de expertos. También se evaluaron las características perceptuales (escala GRBAS) y la autopercepción de la voz (cuestionario VHI-30).  Resultados.  Se observó una F0 promedio de 163 Hz en hombres y 172 Hz en mujeres, una disminución de F1 en ambos sexos, un F2 reducido en mujeres, un F3 reducido en hombres y un F4 aumentado en ambos. La pendiente espectral fue de -3,54 en hombres y de -3,63 en mujeres. El 83 % de los participantes se clasificaron en los grados 1 y 2 de Yanagihara, y 34 participantes informaron un deterioro vocal leve. Se observaron alteraciones en los parámetros acústicos y la calidad vocal en personas con EP en diferentes etapas de la enfermedad; sin embargo, estas diferencias no fueron estadísticamente significativas.  Conclusión.  Se recomienda realizar más investigaciones en esta área, con un tamaño muestral mayor que incluya una mayor representación de sujetos en las etapas temprana y avanzada de la enfermedad.]]></p></abstract>
